  8. Welcome to Matchem 2.0!
  9.  
  10. Matchem is a colorful board game where the object of the
  11. game is to match all the pieces on the game playing board
  12. (similar to the card game `Concentration').
  13.  
  14. Some of the features included in Matchem are...
  15. -  User selectable Game Piece graphic types (Letters,
  16.    Numbers, or Graphical pictures.
  17. -  User customizable background music
  18. -  Lively sound effects including vocal pronunciation of letters and
  19.    numbers.
  20. -  User selectable number of game pieces
  21. -  Colorful visual indicators of your games progress
  22.    (gauges, status bar) - you select the gauges you wish to
  23.    display
  24. -  Game Timer feature (try to beat the clock!)
  25. -  Full context-sensitive online help
  26. -  Game statistics upon completion of game

  29. The game environment is highly customizable allowing the
  30. player to specify settings such as the type of game piece
  31. graphic, number of game pieces to place on the board, game
  32. timer limits, sound/music options, suppression of various
  33. messages, gauges, etc.

  35. The game playing environment features sound, lively music,
  36. and colorful graphics making it especially attractive to 
  37. small children.  And the ability to initiate a 'timed game'
  38. with a variable number of game pieces will provide a 
  39. challenging game playing environment for older players.

  41. Complete online help is available via the Help menu option,
  42. or by pressing F1 at most screens.

  58. INSTALLATION - PLEASE READ

  60. Please read over the PACKING.LST to assure that all of the
  61. files were included in the distribution copy you received.
  62. If there are files missing Matchem will not install
  63. properly.
  64.  
  65. Matchem should have been distributed in a 'Zipped' file
  66. format and thus requires the PKUNZIP utility to
  67. uncompress the files.  To install Matchem, simply create a new directory 
  68. (/MATCHEM would be nice) and unzip the MATCHEM.ZIP file into
  69. this new directory.

  71. The first time you run Matchem, it will
  72. automatically configure itself and ask you to resize the main
  73. Window.  Resize the window and placement to your liking (do not
  74. resize the window by maximizing the window, but rather by clicking
  75. and dragging the edges of the window).  This size and placement will be saved
  76. now and any time in the future that you resize or move the
  77. Matchem window.

  79. To uninstall Matchem simply delete the Matchem directory and
  80. delete the MATCHEM.INI file from your \WINDOWS directory.

  98. REGISTRATION PRICING STRUCTURE

  100. Matchem 2.0               $8.95

  102. Postage/Handling of $1.00 is required if user name, serial
  103. number, and pass code must be returned to you by US Mail.
  104. There is no handling charge if the registration packet is
  105. sent to you via EMail (Internet).

  107. Registration entitles you to a 50% DISCOUNT on Matchem
  108. upgrades and 20% DISCOUNT on other SparTech software.

  110. To register Matchem, print the registration form from the
  111. Matchem Help-About menu.  Complete the form and send
  112. it along with your check payable to BRIAN F. HADDOCK
  113. (complete details are in the Matchem online documentation).
  114. Your registration will be promptly processed and you will be
  115. sent a registered user name, serial number, and pass code
  116. which you then enter in order to 'register' Matchem.

  118. If you cannot print the registration form, simply send us your name,
  119. address, and EMail address along with your check or money order for
  120. $8.95 ($9.95 if you wish to recieve your registration packet via
  121. US Mail) payable to Brian F. Haddock to the address listed above.
