  38. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS....
  39. * IBM PC or compatible computer running Windows 3.1 or higher
  40. * 8 MB free hard disk space
  41. * 16 MB RAM. Note: 32 MB RAM works best.

  45. Start BINDERS...........................................................      Make a directory called Binders on your hard drive (c:\Binders)and copy all the files from Binder10.zip ((unzipped)) to this directory.
  46. Windows 3.1 or Windows 95 --- Run ssplayer.exe
  47.  
  48. To install from dos.....................................................
  49. 1.Type this at the C: prompt.....C:\MD\BINDERS
  50. 2.Then type C:\CD\BINDERS
  51. 3.Then use the copy command to copy all the files from BINDER30.ZIP
  52. ((unzipped))to the BINDERS directory.

  55. Copy the files from the directory you downloaded the files to BINDERS
  56. ((UNZIPPED))
  57. 4.Go to Windows and choose run. locate the Binders directory, then click
  58. on ssplayer.exe . Next click o.k.

  61.                           WHAT IS BINDERS?
  62. Binders is educational software for kids that is easy to use for ages 3 
  63. and up. It will teach kids the alphabet in order, letter identification, 
  64. alphabet sounds, reading and colors using phonics. silly bear binder
  65. animation makes learning fun! Binders uses graphical buttons and wave 
  66. for user interaction.

  68.                          Make your own program  
  69. You can even make custom programs with your child. It's so simple, no
  70. programming required! You can draw an apple and save it in Bmp format 
  71. to the binders directory as apple.bmp. You will see your apple in the 
  72. Binders program. 
  73. Do the same thing for your voice files. Example: record
  74. a wav file with your child saying "a". Save the wav file as "a.wav" in 
  75. the binders directory. You will hear your childs voice in the Binders
  76. program.
  77. The music files in Binders can also be renamed to your music.

  82. bear binder book that will show you how to make your own program.

  85.                     Getting creative with Binders
  86. There are many pictures that you can print and make flash cards out of
  87. them for your child to play with. You can also print the pictures in 
  88. black and white and let your child color the pictures. Use the 
  89. pictures for any kind of art. Cut and paste them to make a postcard or
  90. letter.

  95. way.This program gives your child time to practice writing the 
  96. letters or scroll the pages and view the letters.
