  5. System Requirements:

  7. IBM 386/40Mz or 100% compatible system
  8. 4 MB of RAM
  9. SVGA (640x480, 256 colors) video card
  10. 8 Meg free hard disk space (3 Meg needed for temporary storage)
  11. Mouse
  12. CD-ROM
  13. MS-DOS 5.0 or higher

  16. Installation:
  17.  
  18. 1.    Type INSTALL and press <ENTER>.
  19. 2.    First, the program will ask you where you want to
  20.       install the game.
  21.       Note: the default is C:\BBDEMO.
  22. 3.    The program will now copy the necessary files to your
  23.       hard disk.  
  24.  
  25. The installation is now complete.  To start playing, type
  26. BBDEMO in the directory you installed the game and press
  27. <ENTER>.

  30. Setup:
  31.  
  32. The first time you run the demo the program will automatically
  33. run setup to  configure the game for your video card, sound
  34. card, and joysticks.  If you need to alter the configuration
  35. later, change to the game directory, type SETUP, and press
  36. <ENTER>.

  38. Video Card:
  39. The program will show you a list of compatible video cards.
  40. If you know which card you have, use the arrow keys to move
  41. the highlight over that card, then press <ENTER>.  If you do
  42. not know which card you have, press F1.  The program will
  43. try to detect your card.  After you have chosen a video
  44. card, setup will test it by trying to display the TLB3 logo.
  45. If this appears properly press <ENTER> to continue.  If
  46. nothing happens after several seconds press <ENTER>  to exit
  47. the test.  Next the program will ask if the logo appeared
  48. correctly, press 'Y' if it did, press 'N' if it did not.

  50. Note:     VESA Support
  51. If your video card is not on the list, or you do not know
  52. which video card you have, but you believe it is compatible
  53. with the VESA standard, select VESA BIOS Extensions (VBE)
  54. from the list.  If this does not work, you will have to
  55. consult the documentation from the card's manufacturer to
  56. find out how to install VESA compatibility.  This might
  57. require a modification to your autoexec.bat file.  For
  58. example, if you have a Diamond Viper Card you will have to
  59. add C:\VIPER\VPRMODE VESA at the bottom of your autoexec.bat
  60. file.

  62. Digitized Sound:
  63. Next setup will configure the game for digitized sound.  Use
  64. the arrow keys to highlight your sound card and press
  65. <ENTER>.   The game will test your card with a sample from
  66. Hank Greenwald.  Press 'Y' if the voice played correctly or press
  67. 'N' and select another card.

  69. Note:     16 bit Support
  70. Only certain sound cards can play 16 bit sound.  Make sure
  71. you select the highest quality sound card possible that is
  72. compatible with your system.
  73. For example, do not select Sound Blaster if you have a Sound
  74. Blaster 16.

  76. Joysticks:
  77. Next the program will search your hardware for joysticks.
  78. It is normal for this to take a few seconds.  For each one
  79. it finds, the program will ask you to move the joystick to
  80. the maximum in each direction: up, down, left, and right.
  81. When you are finished press a button to continue.
