  5. If you own a copy of Links 2000 you can enjoy this Wingspanbank.com 
  6. sponsored golf tournament. If you do not own Links 2000, please play 
  7. the demo and hurry down to your local retailer to purchase Links 2000 
  8. so you can play in the VGA tournament. This CD contains four newly 
  9. redesigned golf courses: Bay Hill (VGA),Harbor Town (VGA),Cog Hill (VGA), 
  10. and Firestone Country Club (VGA).

  12. 1. All Versions
  13.  
  14. The VGA Tournament courses may only be played with Links 2000. Any 
  15. other version of Links or Microsoft Golf will NOT work with the VGA courses.

  17. 2. Enhancement Update for Links 2000
  18.  
  19. The Enhancement Update for Links 2000 allows the user to play in the 
  20. golf tournaments on the MS Gaming Zone. It passes the start-up information 
  21. and reports your score back to the zone. 
  22.         
  23. Please make sure that you have Links 2000 installed.  The update automatically 
  24. installs provided Links 2000 is installed.

  26. 3. Zone Software

  28. The files needed to play on the MS Gaming Zone have been included on this CD. 
  29. Logon to the Zone to set up your free account.

  31. 4. Windows 2000 Users
  32.  
  33. While operating under Windows 2000, Alt+Tab closes the application.
  34.  
  35. 5. IPX with Windows 2000 Users and Windows 9X users.
  36.  
  37. If a Windows 2000 user wishes to play an IPX multiplayer game with users 
  38. running Windows 95 or Windows 98, all users need to use the same IPX frame 
  39. setting. Auto MAY NOT be the IPX frame setting.

  41. To change the IPX frame setting in Windows 95 or Windows 98:
  42. 1.  Click on "Start", move the cursor over "Settings", and Click on 
  43. "Control Panel".
  44. 2.  In the Control Panel dialog, double-click on "Network".
  45. 3.  Select "IPX/SPX-compatable protocol" from the list and click the 
  46. "Properties" button.
  47. 4.  Click on the "Advanced" tab.
  48. 5.  Under the "Propery" list, click on "Frame Type".
  49. 6.  Under "Value", select a value that works for your network.  
  50. Ethernet 802.3 should work for most computers.
  51. 7.  Click on "Ok".
  52. 8.  Click on "Ok" again, to close the two dialog boxes.
  53. 9.  Click on "Yes" to reset your computer.

  55. To change the IPX frame setting in Windows 2000:
  56. 1.  Click on "Start", move the cursor over "Settings", and Click on 
  57. "Network and Dial-up Connections".
  58. 2.  In the Network and Dial-up Connections dialog, right mouse click 
  59. on "Local Area Connections", and click on "Properties".
  60. 3.  Select "NWLink IPX/SPX/NetBIOS Compatable Transport Protocol" 
  61. from the list and click the "Properties" button.
  62. 4.  To the right of "Frame type:", select a value that works for 
  63. your network.  Ethernet 802.3 should work for most computers.
  64. 5.  Click on "Ok".
  65. 6.  Click on "Ok" again, to close the two dialog boxes.
