* Misc Notes *
This level is an attempt to make a good single player level that
would also work well as a deathmatch map. I've also tried to make
it challenging for coop. play as well. First and foremost its a
single player level, and therefore it's pretty big. (It takes me
about 15 minutes to complete on UV.) You need to flick three
switches spread around the map in the right order to pick up the
blue key, which will enable you to get the red key which is right
at the beginning (and end) of the level. If your having trouble
finding the switches or working out the order, the automap will
help. (Really!) There's a secret you have to find to get to the
blue key, but it's pretty obvious.
To make the level more enjoyable in deathmatch, most of it is
unreachable in multiplayer games. It's just too big for a good dm
otherwise. All the weapons are available, but if you don't like
the BFG too much, play with monsters ON. This will also make it
harder for somebody to end the level too early when no one else
wants too. If there's too many mosters, just play on an easier
difficulty setting but I definitely recommend monsters. You may
find the level plays too slowly with monsters in multiplayer.
It might be a good idea to play without monsters or on the easiest
difficulty level if you have a 386 or 486-33 with < 8M.
Finally (if you actually bothered to read this far), as the map is
small in deathmatch, so it is in cooperative. But don't worry,
there's an extra challenge at the exit which may require some
teaming up to overcome. This is to compensate for the fact that
the blue key is so easy to get. You have been warned.
