  8. If Adobe Acrobat reader and "Getting the Most Out of EarthLink"
  9. guide are included with your TotalAccess software you may follow 
  10. the instruction below:
  11.  
  12. To setup "Getting the Most Out of EarthLink" guide
  13.  
  14.  
  15.     1. Double click on Adobe Acrobat Setup icon in the
  16.        TotalAccess program group. This will install
  17.        Acrobat Reader on your local computer. 
  18.     2. Double click on the Internet Guide icon in the
  19.        TotalAccess program group.
  20.  
  21.  
  22. PLEASE NOTE: 
  23. Expanding available disk space on your local computer 
  24.  
  25. If you wish to gain some additional disk space, you may delete all the 
  26. *.z files from the "access" folder in your EarthLink installation 
  27. folder on your local machine. Keep in mind, however, that you will 
  28. not be able to use your local registration & utilities programs in the future 
  29. to open a new account, update or retrieve an existing account. In order 
  30. to do that you will need to run setup.exe program from the original 
  31. EarthLink floppy disks or CD-ROM.

  35. The Software on your CD-ROM may include one or more of the following programs:  
  36.  
  37. Surfwatch
  38. QuickTime
  39. Air Warrior
  40. Casino Poker
  41. RealAudio Player
  42.  
  43.  
  44.                  Installing Surfwatch for Windows 95
  45.  
  46. With Windows running, close all open applications. If you
  47. are connected over a phone line, connect to the Internet
  48. using your dialer application. 
  49. If you have a connection through a local network, then 
  50. you may be connected automatically.
  51.  
  52. To begin the installation process: 
  53.  
  54. 1.    Select the Win95 folder and double-click to
  55.         open it.
  56. 2.    Select the 3rdparty folder and double-click to
  57.         open it.
  58. 3.      Select the Sfwatch folder and double-click to
  59.         open it.
  60. 4.      Select the sww95-el.exe file and double-click to
  61.         run the unzip program.
  62. 5.    From the dialog box that appears, select the
  63.         folder to unpack the program files into 
  64.         (by default C:\WINDOWS\TEMP) and unpack program 
  65.     files into it. 
  66. After the SurfWatch files are unpacked. 
  67. Go to the unpacking folder:
  68. 1.    Locate the SurfWatch SETUP.EXE file and 
  69.         double-click to run the Setup program.
  70. 2.    You will see a screen titled SurfWatch Setup.
  71.         Remember that you must be connected to the 
  72.         Internet before you proceed.
  73. 3.    Read this screen and click Continue to proceed.
  74.         Then follow the instructions on the screen.
  75. After Installation:
  76. 1.      If you want to remove SurfWatch, run the SETUP.EXE
  77.     program from the unpacking folder created 
  78.     earlier.
  79. 2.      Removing, copying, or moving any SurfWatch files
  80.         without using the SETUP.EXE program may destroy 
  81.         your operating system installation and render 
  82.         your computer useless.

  85.            Installing QuickTime 2.1.2 for Windows 95
  86.  
  87. To begin the installation process: 
  88.  
  89. 1.    Select the Win95 folder and double-click to 
  90.         open it.
  91. 2.      Select the 3rdparty folder and double-click to
  92.         open it.
  93. 3.      Select the Quicktime folder and double-click 
  94.     to open it.
  95. 4.      Read the Readme32.txt file for the installation
  96.     instructions.
  97. 5.         For Internet Explorer:
  98.     Copy the NPQTW32.DLL file to your Internet 
  99.     Explorer plugins folder, i.e. 
  100.     c:\earthlnk\iexplore\plugins.
  101. 6.      Copy the QTVRW32.QTC file to your Windows folder.
  102. 7.      Select the QTINSTAL.EXE file and double-click on
  103.     it to install QuickTime.
  104. NOTE:   If you have older versions of QuickTime, 
  105.     the installer will ask you to delete them,
  106.     please, respond 'yes" to any such queries.
  107. 8.      Follow the instructions on the screen to
  108.     complete the installation.

  111.          Installing Kesmai Games for Windows 95
  112.  
  113. VERY IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ THE "LAUNCHING" SECTION BELOW.
  114. Games:  1.Casino Poker
  115.         2.Air Warrior  
  116. To begin the installation process: 
  117. 1.    Select the Win95 folder and double-click to
  118.     open it.
  119. 2.      Select the 3rdparty folder and double-click 
  120.     to open it.
  121. 3.      Select the Poker (or Airwar) folder and 
  122.     double-click to open it.
  123. 4.    Locate the Setup.exe file and double-click to
  124.         run the Setup program.
  125. 5.    Follow the instructions on the screen to complete
  126.     the installation.
  127. 6.      Read readme.txt file for the game instructions.  
  128.  
  129. -Launching-
  130.  
  131.    You need to configure your browser in order to launch 
  132.    from on-line connections to point towards a launcher 
  133.    for game. This shouldn't be requiredif you have 
  134.    installed another Kesmai product for launching.
  135.    These instructions show how:

  137. Launcher Configuration (you need this to launch from WWW):

  139. With Windows running, close all open applications. If you

  143. See the instructions below for Microsoft IE 3.0 users.
  144.   1.    Run Microsoft's Internet Explorer (TM) from the 
  145.         TotalAccess program group.
  146.   2.    Select Options from the View menu.
  147.   3.    Select the tab labeled "Programs".
  148.   4.    Select the button on the Programs screen labeled 
  149.         "File Types...".
  150.   5.    Select the button on the File Types screen labeled
  151.         "New Type".
  152.   6.    Enter "application" for the Description on the 
  153.         Add New File Type screen.
  154.   7.    Enter lch for the Assosiated extension.
  155.   8.    Enter "application/x-klnch32" for the Mime type.
  156.   9.    Describe the actions on the screen in the 
  157.     "Actions" window.
  158.  10.    Select the button at the bottom of the screen
  159.     labeled "New...".
  160.  11.    Browse to the folder where you installed the 
  161.         game (by default C:\Kesmai\Poker or
  162.         C:\Kesmai\Airwar) and select "klnch32.exe".
  163.  12.    Click OK for the Add New File Type screen.
  164.  12.    Select the OK button at the bottom of the File 
  165.         Types screen.
  166.  13.    Select OK at the bottom of the Programs screen.
  167.  
  168.   That's it.  You are now ready to launch the game from
  169.   the Web. Go to the EarthLink Home page, click on 
  170.   The Arena button and follow the instructions on the 
  171.   screen to start the on-line game.

  174.     Installing RealAudio Player 3.0 for Windows 95
  175. To begin the installation process: 
  176. 1.    Select the Win95 folder and double-click
  177.         to open it.
  178. 2.      Select the 3rdparty directory and double-click
  179.     to open it.
  180. 3.      Select the Realaudi folder and double-click 
  181.     to open it.
  182. 4.      Select the ra32_30.exe file and double-click
  183.     to run the installation program.
  184. 5.    You will see a RealAudio Setup wizard screen.
  185.     Then follow the instructions on the screen to
  186.     complete the installation.
