  5. The patch file for Command & Conquer updates versions 1.07, 1.18p , 1.19p &
  6. 1.20 to version 1.22p.
  7.  
  8. To install the patch file, simply copy the PATCH.EXE and PATCH.RTP files to
  9. the directory that you installed Command & Conquer to (this is usually the
  10. C:\C&C directory).   After the files are copied, simply type PATCH to begin
  11. the update process.

  15. This update addresses these items :

  18. 1. WINDOWS 95 MODEM PLAY.

  21.      This patch improves modem play under Windows 95 for some people.
  22.      It is still highly recommended that you turn error correct/data
  23.      compression off on your modem with the correct initialization
  24.      string.  Check your modem manual for more information about this.

  44.      following line to the CONQUER.INI file under the [OPTIONS] section.

  73. 6. FIXES MONEY REFUND PROBLEM WHEN SELLING SILOS

  76.      The money refunded when selling a silo was being credited
  77.      incorrectly. This has been fixed. In order for a fixed
  78.      version to play with an unfixed version -- possible when
  79.      in a multiplayer game -- a special command line option
  80.      must be used. Pass the parameter "-o" to the C&C.EXE
  81.      executable.

  85. 7. COST OF NOD TURRETS CHANGED TO 600 CREDITS

  88.      The cost of Nod Turrets has changed to 600 credits. This
  89.      addresses a balance issue regarding Nod turret production.

  93. 8. NUCLEAR WEAPON STUFF
  94. --------------------------------------------------------------------------

  96.      On those missions which feature the Temple of Nod, some
  97.      people have experienced difficulty when trying to fire
  98.      the nuclear weapon. This version addresses that problem
  99.      by ensuring that the weapon is available on those missions.
  100.      If you have a saved game from one of these missions you
  101.      can get the nuclear weapon by loading the saved game and
  102.      then restarting the mission.

  106. 9. CHEATING IN VERSIONS 1.07 & 1.18P
  107. --------------------------------------------------------------------------
  108.  
  109.     Some people discovered a way to cheat using versions 1.18P
  110.     and 1.07 such that it is possible to place a structure at
  111.     any position in the map, breaking the normal adjacent
  112.     building rule. This has been fixed in version 1.22P but you
  113.     should be aware that 1.22P still connects to 1.18P and 1.07,
  114.     so a person cheating with the older versions (if connected
  115.     to the version 1.22P) will cause a modem or IPX game to fail
  116.     with a "Games are out of sync" message. The solution to this
  117.     is for everyone in a multi-player game to upgrade to version
  118.     1.22P (or not cheat, of course!).

  122. 10. SELLING BUILDING AND IMMEDIATELY ABORTING

  125.     The ability to sell a building and then stop the selling process
  126.     in order to gain bonus infantry has been fixed.
