This archive contains files to allow users of the DOS version of "Pro
Pinball - The Web" to run a native Windows 95 version. This archive
also contains the Microsoft DirectX II components needed for the game.
Please note that you will need the original game CD.
Unzip this archive to a temporary directory using the "-d" switch to
preserve directories. Then run the "INSTALL.EXE" program, and follow
the onscreen prompts. We recommend that you install the windows version
into the same directory as your DOS version, since you will be able to
share any upgrade patches between both versions. You will be able to
store different option settings for the two versions, though hi-scores
will be shared by both. Once you have installed the game, you can run
it by clicking on the created shortcuts, or by running the "PLAY.EXE"
program.
The keys have been changed from the DOS version, and the changes are
noted below. You can redefine these keys by clicking on the
"options..." button on the PLAY program, but you cannot define them to
use the same keys as the DOS version as there appears to be no standard way
of reading the shift keys seperately under Windows 95 that will work on
all systems. The defaults were chosen to be in a similar layout on
international keyboards.
<F> Left Flipper
<J> Right Flipper
<G> Nudge from left
<H> Nudge from right
Other keys should be as per DOS version
