  1. The DOOM Levels Index: Matt's Favorites
  2.  
  3. Here's a list of some of Matt Firme's favorite DOOM levels. And
  4. this man knows his DOOM! You'll have to copy these files from 
  5. their individual sub-directories in the \DOOMB directory (on the
  6. CD-ROM) to your hard drive, but most have text files with
  7. instructions for installation. For those without instructions,
  8. just copy the files to your DOOM directory. They each include
  9. a test file and most have batch files to make running these
  10. very easy. Enjoy!

  12. DMDANT - "Dante's Gate" v1.666 courtesy of Dr. Sleep. Some new
  13. monsters and a very "neat" look.
  14.  
  15. DMACHE - "Crossing Acheron" v1.666 courtesy of Dr. Sleep is the
  16. greatly expanded and fully hepped-up sequel to Dante's Gate.  As
  17. Dr. Sleep puts it " This is the enlarged level as I originally
  18. intended it."  
  19.  
  20. DMFCON - "The Final Conflict" Level v1.1 courtesy of Cliff
  21. Pennock. This is truly a large level with an interesting endgame.
  22. Go for it!  
  23.  
  24. DMMEAT -"Meat" courtesy of Carolyn Schulenburg (the first we've
  25. run across by a female!). It's a fast-moving adventure with lots
  26. of monsters (but no silly cyber or spiderdemons), hidden goodies,
  27. secret rooms, and a few traps.

  29. DMPUMP -"Pumpkin - A Halloween Tale" courtesy of Mark Marusak.
  30. It's dark - you're tired. You must make one more perimeter check
  31. before you can call it a night. But it's no ordinary night - it's
  32. Halloween night. Suddenly - you're trapped. A sick trick, and only
  33. one way to go - to hell. No candy tonight. But get your bags ready
  34. anyway (body bags that is). Thanks for that description Mark.

  36. DMGATH - "The Final Gathering" courtesy of Dan "Stormin'"
  37. Norman. The first of two offered by Dan on this disk.
  38.  
  39. DMSHRI - "Shrine of the Warriors" courtesy of Dan "Stormin'"
  40. Norman. As Dan says "So you want more, eh? If you like The Final
  41. Gathering, then I think you'll like this level, too. Includes new
  42. graphics and some cool effects. Also has some pretty cool
  43. puzzle-type rooms that should get you thinking. And of course, some
  44. killing rooms that you'll have to move fast in to survive."
  45. Requires DOOM v1.666.

  47. DMSPON - "Spoon!" Deathmatch courtesy of Vernon Baas. As Vernon
  48. puts it "You ain't seen nothing like it! It's big, it's blue, it's
  49. fraggin time! This is an arena deathmatch level for DOOM with three
  50. primary levels: top-center, middle-outer-ring and lower-pit. Lots
  51. of ambush and sniping spots and (even) an exit switch! Hope  
  52. you have fun with it."
