  11.         This is the DOS port of figlet version 2.1.1, a  neat hack by Ian 
  12.         Chai  and Glenn Chappell to produce impressive looking  lettering 
  13.         easily.  For example, it took me only a couple of seconds to make 
  14.         the title for this file.  The complete directions are in the file 
  15.         FIGLET.MAN  so  this README will only address issues relating  to 
  16.         the MS-DOS port of the program.

  21.         The end of file signal in MS-DOS is ^Z (control-Z).  When you are 
  22.         typing input for figlet from the console,  just type ^Z and ENTER 
  23.         to finish.

  25.         The default location for figlet fonts is C:\FIGLET\FONTS but this 
  26.         can be overridden by the -d switch.

  31.         I  have  written  a  couple  of  batch  files,   SHOWALL.BAT  and 
  32.         SHOWONE.BAT  to help you choose which font to use for your  text.  
  33.         Just  put the text you want to use in a file named  TEST.TXT  and 
  34.         then type SHOWALL.  The batch file will then cycle through all of 
  35.         the figlet fonts in the current directory displaying the contents 
  36.         of TEST.TXT in that font and then pausing so that you can look at 
  37.         it.   It would be easy for you to modify the batch  files so that 
  38.         the  output  is  redirected to a printer or to  add  switches  to 
  39.         control figlet features.

  67.         in one of my programs, BIGTEXT.   It uses screen fonts to produce 
  68.         big characters and banners and there are hundreds of screen fonts
