  2. This is a gamma version of the MySQLGUI version 1.7.5
  3.  
  4. This release has two  mainly bug fixes.
  5.  
  6. If you are using a binary package, you do not have to build mysqlgui
  7. yourself. All you have to do is to run it. You may change location of
  8. Options file and Help file in (~).my.cnf or in /etc/my.cnf (on Windows it is
  9. c:/my.cnf), but if you do not specify path names, mysqlgui will default to
  10. it's own values.

  12. Regarding bug fixes, foremost of all, some of FLTK widgets have been
  13. updated, which has caused some changes in mysqlgui source code.  Some users
  14. have reported problems with X 4.0.* when using some widgets. This has been
  15. fixed. Beside that, column resizing in spreadsheet now works. Also, editing
  16. (in order to scroll text) and zooming is not automatic, but you should press
  17. F2 or Ctrl+E in order to scroll a cell or to zoom it. This has resulted in
  18. faster scrolling of the spreadsheet. Some aesthetic changes have been
  19. implemented in some widgets. Also, process dialogue display is now more
  20. readable.

  22. This version has been extensively tested with memory checking software, so there are no memory leaks in it.
