  16. Please read this README file and all the supplied documentation 
  17. BEFORE you continue the installation.

  20. 3. Installation Instructions

  22. Manual Installation via .inf:
  23. -----------------------------------------------------------------
  24. Click Start, then Settings, then Control Panel.
  25.  
  26. Start the "Display" applet program. 
  27.  
  28. Select the 'Settings' page, push the 'Advanced' button. Click on 
  29. the 'Adapter' tab, push the 'Properties' button, clock on the 
  30. 'Driver' tab, and click on 'Update Driver'.
  31.  
  32. Push the "Have Disk" button and press "OK".
  33.  
  34. Specify the path to the new drivers' .inf file and press the 
  35.       <ENTER> key:
  36.       Example 1: Insert the drivers disk in the A: floppy drive,
  37.                  and enter A:\.
  38.       Example 2: Type in the name of the directory where you 
  39.                  copied the drivers, either on your local hard 
  40.                  drive or on a network shared drive.
  41.       Example 3: If you're not sure exactly where the drivers 
  42.                  are, choose the "Browse..." button and find them.

  44. The "Select Device" dialog box will appear. Select the adapter 
  45. that corresponds to the one you installed in your machine and 
  46. click OK.

  48. Windows will copy the display drivers to the proper 
  49. directories on your system.

  51. Continue choosing Close until asked to restart your machine from 
  52. the "Systems Settings Change" dialog box.

  54. After the system has restarted, you can go back into the Display
  55. applet and select alternate screen resolutions, color depths and 
  56. related features.

  59. 4. Known Issues

  61. The OpenGL driver included in this release is preliminary and 
  62. not fully optimized for maximum performance.  This will be 
  63. addressed in a future driver update.
  64.  
  65. Issues with benchmarking programs (3D Mark 2000, 3D Winbench
  66. 2000) will be addressed in a future driver update.
