  3. Cdex is a is utility which can record Digital Audio (DA) tracks  from CD into the files. 
  4. The recorded audio tracks can be stored as WAV or MP3 (MPEG-1 Audio Layer-3) files. 
  5. Cdex is using the Adaptec's ASPI library Manager to communicate with the CD-ROM device, make
  6. sure that you have installed the ASPI manager properly!

  14. 1)    Microsoft Windows 95/98 & Windows-NT4 SP3
  15. 2)    Adaptec ASPI for Win32 Manager
  16. 3)    Digital Audio Extracting capable CD drive
  17. 4)    Intel  Pentium or compatible processor

  20. Installation:

  22. There are no special installation requirements, extract the zip file to a 
  23. directory where you want to install CDex.  Once installed, you can 
  24. start the Cdex application by selecting the CDex.exe. For more detailed information 
  25. please consult the help file !
