  20.  1.1:  How do I uninstall MasterBooter?
  21.  1.2:  I have uninstalled MasterBooter / I have disabled FAT hiding

  31.  1.1:  Run 'efdisk /mbr'.
  32.  
  33.  1.2:  Before v2.2 you had to unhide all hidden FAT partitions before
  34.        disabling FAT hiding. From v2.2 MasterBooter can unhide hidden
  35.        FAT partitions on-the-fly. However, if you uninstall
  36.        MasterBooter be sure to unhide all hidden FAT partitions first.
  37.        If you use v2.7 or newer then the 'efdisk /mbr' command will
  38.        automatically unhide all hidden FAT and NTFS partitions and
  39.        will remove the boot menu.

  62.  2.1:  After installing Win9x, the boot menu disappears. Why?
  63.  2.2:  The shareware MasterBooter doesn't recognize my Win9x
  64.        partition. Why?
  65.  2.3:  After installing Win9x, the shareware MasterBooter doesn't
  66.        recognize my old DOS/Win95 primary partitions. Why?
  67.  2.4:  DOS, Win9x doesn't boot properly from the slave/secondary
  68.        harddisk. Why?
  69.  2.5:  DOS 6.xx partition begins beyond 2 gigs and doesn't boot. Why?

  75.  2.1:  Win9x rewrites the Master Boot Record, erasing MasterBooter
  76.        from it. Simply reinstall MasterBooter and everything should
  77.        work fine.  
  78.  
  79.  2.2:  The shareware versions before v2.2 didn't support Win95. From
  80.        v2.2 the shareware versions recognize Win95(a) partitions,
  81.        from v2.6 they recognize OSR2/Win98 too. These operating
  82.        systems overwrite all FAT partitions' boot sector, and
  83.        MasterBooter thinks they are all Win95/OSR2/Win98 systems.

  85.  2.3:  Both OSR2 and Win98 replace the boot sectors of every existing
  86.        primary FAT systems during installation (Why? Now that's a
  87.        good question!), that's why MasterBooter before v2.6 doesn't
  88.        recognize them then.

  90.  2.4:  These operating systems can boot from the slave harddisk only
  91.        if you enable FAT hiding during MasterBooter installation.
  92.        Be sure you use v2.2 or newer version of MasterBooter and
  93.        enable FAT hiding if you'd like to run these OSes from a slave
  94.        harddisk. If you enabled FAT hiding and the system still
  95.        doesn't boot, then you have to run the BOOTFIX utility, which
  96.        corrects the 'Physical Drive Number' value in all boot sectors.
  97.        Please note, that if you set such corrected slave harddisk
  98.        system as master later, then you have to rerun the BOOTFIX
  99.        utility from a system floppy after you reconnected the harddisk
  100.        as master. In other words, if you get the message 'Invalid
  101.        system disk', then run the BOOTFIX utility and check the FAT
  102.        hiding option :)

  104.  2.5:  DOS6.xx has a bug in its boot load code which causes this
  105.        error. The BOOTFIX utility can replace this buggy boot loader
  106.        with a good one. So, after runnin BOOTFIX, your DOS 6.xx
  107.        system should work even if it resides beyond 2 gigs.

  146.       use by one big partition, and I don't want to repartition.

  148.  5.2: I've changed a parameter of an already existing partition with
  149.       EFDISK and now I cannot see it. Why?

  155.  5.1:  You have to use special software, which can resize or split
  156.        your existing partition(s) without data loss. I know three
  157.        programs:
  158.  
  159.        FIPS              - this is a freeware program, which can
  160.                            split large FAT partitions
  161.        Partition resizer - this is also a freeware program. It can
  162.                            resize and move FAT16/32 partitions
  163.        Partition Magic   - this is a commercial product by PowerQuest
  164.                            Inc.  This program can resize, split, move
  165.                            and convert many types of partitions
  166.  
  167.  5.2:  First, DO NOT DO SUCH THINGS WITH EFDISK! If you change a
  168.        parameter of an already existing partition, then EFDISK must
  169.        erase that partition's boot sector in order to allow the
  170.        formatting programs to work correctly. Do not resize, move
  171.        or change the type of an already existing partition! If you
  172.        did so, please make a rescue floppy and send me the MBRINFO
  173.        file from it and your harddisk's logical characteristics.
