-
- Haven't we got a delight for you on our CD this month.
- Top of the January Shareware Section's RPG Roundup,
- Aethra follows the close traditions of Role
- Playing Lore. It is closely based on the best forms of
- Character Development, and you have a party of characters
- to work with.
-
- The usual plot is that of rescuing a child who has been
- kidnapped by an Evil Necromancer - type person. Watch
- out for interesting spelling however.
-
- This program has great depth, and great gameplay. It may
- take an hour or so to get into, but after that, it'll probably
- take a week to get away from.
-
- The keys and control and stuff are pretty self explanatory
- from the game. You can use the numeric keypad, or the mouse.
-
- Put some thought into the generation and development of your
- character, as this this is pretty important. Don't do like Ted
- did, and click any box for the hell of it. It's not big, and
- it's not clever.
-
- Aethra has a nice range of items and spells, although you must
- register to get a spell list. It has good graphics, though they're
- not very detailed. Some minor NPC interaction at crucial points.
-
- The story is vaguely interesting and it has a very professional
- appearance.
