  1. Welcome to the demonstration version of OrCAD Capture for Windows.
  2.  
  3. Thanks for taking time to review the latest version of OrCAD Capture for 
  4. Windows. Please take a moment to look through this file. It contains 
  5. information that isn't addressed in the online help or in the Getting 
  6. Started with OrCAD Capture for Windows guide.  If there is other 
  7. information you need, please contact OrCAD and we'll be glad to help you.

  9. This demo version of Capture contains all the product's features. The 
  10. only exceptions are that it will not save or write design and library 
  11. files (you can, however, produce BOMs, netlists, print outs, etc.)

  14. INSTALLING CAPTURE
  15.  
  16. Please refer to the Getting Started with OrCAD Capture for Windows guide 
  17. for details on installing Capture and Win32s (where applicable).

  20. STARTING THE CAPTURE DEMO
  21.  
  22. 1.  When the installation of the demo software completes, you'll have 
  23. an opportunity to run the interactive tutorial. The lessons in the 
  24. tutorial provide an overview of Capture's functionality and the 
  25. excercises will lead you through some examples.
  26.  
  27. 2.  Double-click the Capture Help icon to review our online documentation.
  28.  
  29. 3.  Double-click the Capture demo icon to start OrCAD Capture for Windows.
  30.  
  31. 4.  From Capture's File menu, choose Open and then Design. The standard 
  32. Windows File Open dialog appears. Sample schematic designs are located 
  33. in the "SAMPLES" subdirectory. To load a sample design, just 
  34. double-click on it.

  36. 5. Once a design is loaded you can open one of the schematics it contains 
  37. by double-clicking on a schematic on the left side of the design manager. 
  38. This displays all the schematic pages found in the selected schematic.  
  39. To open a schematic page, just double-click on it.

  41. 6. To open a new, blank design or library, click on the leftmost button on 
  42. the tool bar. Capture opens whatever was last active (a design or library).
