  4. These items are things that may have changed since the User Guide
  5. was written or simply things we feel we should point out.

  8. Importing WinDelete 3.0 data
  9. =============================
  10. If a copy of WinDelete 3.0 is already installed on your machine,
  11. the data files will be imported into WinDelete 97 during the
  12. Installation if you choose to do so.

  15. Duplicate Finder
  16. =============================
  17. The Duplicate Finder has a new Dialog Box since the User Guide was
  18. written. From the right frame, after all duplicates are displayed,
  19. if you select all files of a same name and choose to uninstall them,
  20. you will be prompted to select any or no files of the list to SAVE.
  21. This list will contain ALL FILES ON THE HARD DRIVE OF THE SAME NAME.
  22. Select the file to save and click OK.

  25. Assistant
  26. ============================
  27. We have added an Assistant that will guide you, step by step through
  28. each procedure. Once you are comfortable with WinDelete 97's functions,
  29. you can select to hide the Assistant with the Hide button on the Dialog
  30. Box. To view it again, Select View|Assistant.

  33. NT 4.0 Users
  34. ============================
  35. Windows NT 4.0 users with multi user profile configurations will see
  36. more than one Start menu in the Application Manager. Each Start menu
  37. will represent each user profile.

  40. Transport Manager
  41. ============================
  42. When using the Transport Manager to Transport files from one machine to
  43. another, please note the following. You can use a 3.5 or 5.25 inch
  44. floppy disk/drive as well as a Iomega (R) Jaz (R) or Zip drive. You can
  45. also put morethan one Transportable archive onto a single disk.
  46. WinDelete, however, will only put one WDsetup.exe onto the disk that
  47. can be used to Restore all of the archives.

  50. Manually Stopping Agent
  51. ============================
  52. For installations of programs that start with a autorun or a multiple
  53. application install, it may be necessary to manually stop the Agent.
  54. Select the Agent in the Task bar and click on Inst...Monitor, Select
  55. the currently monitored process and click Stop.

  58. Log File Removal
  59. ============================
  60. WinDelete will maintain the log of all archives created by WinDelete.
  61. Once you have removed the contents of the archive, the log itself can
  62. be removed by double clicking on the folder that it's in from the left
  63. frame. Select the log from the right frame and choose Uninstall.
