  20. 1. What's new in version 3.0
  21. ----------------------------
  22.   * Improved support for Windows NT.
  23.   * Improved error reporting.
  24.   * Miscellaneous cosmetic changes.
  25.   * Improved header parsing when peeking at a message.
  26.   * Added "Ask before connecting and disconnecting" option to the 
  27.     Connection tab in Setup.
  28.   * Added server status checking to ensure that new mail
  29.     is actually new for messages with improperly formatted
  30.     date fields.
  31.   * Lydia no longer requires that Dial-Up Networking and
  32.     RAS support be installed. If no Dial-Up Networking or RAS
  33.     support is found, Lydia will default to a LAN connection.
  34.     This is geared for Windows NT users connected via a LAN.
  35.   * Added "Retrieve message body with headers" option. If checked
  36.     Lydia will download the body of the message when retrieving
  37.     the headers. This speeds up peeking at messages and allows
  38.     quoting of the original message when replying.
  39.   * Added signature to outgoing email.
  40.   * Added Reply button to Message Peek window.
  41.   * You can now send attachments with QuickMail.
  42.   * Lydia will no longer display the Incomplete Dial-Up message if
  43.     any of the dialup information is missing. The Dial-Up information
  44.     is now checked when you select the dialup networking in the 
  45.     Connection Setup screen. You can enter any missing information 
  46.     here which will be saved and used when connecting to the Internet.

  48.   * Interval for checking mail can now be set from 1 to 999 minutes.
  49.   * Added Advanced Settings option for accounts to change POP3 port 
  50.     and disable ID checking.

  53.   * You can now run your regular email program from the "new mail"
  54.     window and from the popup menu.

  70.   * Fixed a problem writing to the Windows NT registry. The "run
  71.     Lydia when windows starts" option now works under Windows NT.
  72.   * Fixed a potential problem with the ShowingNewMailWindow flag.  
  73.   * Fixed a bug that caused an error retrieving message IDs.
  74.   * Fixed a bug that caused Lydia to misinterpret where the
  75.     text of a message ended.

  77.     headers was selected from the popup menu.
  78.   * Fixed bug where it would not disconnect if you didn't respond
  79.     to the "new mail" message.
  80.   * Fixed bug where it would report an error if had Lydia set to
  81.     use a dial-up account and to not check only while online and
  82.     it attempted an automatic mail check while you were online.

  84.     the setup screen and you were connected via a LAN.

  93. 3. If You Are Upgrading

  96.   If you are upgrading from a beta version prior to 2.3 beta 7
  97.   ------------------------------------------------------------
  98.   The setup program will turn off the "Run on windows startup" 
  99.   option. You will need to check this option again after installing 
  100.   this version.

  102.   Ensure that the dialup information is correct in the
  103.   Connection Setup screen, you must click the OK button even if
  104.   the information is correct the first time you enter setup for
  105.   this new version.

  107.   If you are upgrading from a version of Lydia prior to 2.2
  108.   ---------------------------------------------------------
  109.   This new version of Lydia has a number of new options, the Setup 
  110.   window will be displayed the first time you run the new version. 
  111.  
  112.   Lydia now has an option under the Options tab to run when 
  113.   windows starts. If you have a shortcut to Lydia in your startup 
  114.   folder and you select this option, Lydia will run twice when 
  115.   windows starts. If you want to use the new option please delete
  116.   the Lydia shortcut in your startup folder.
