  1. CompuShow for Windows ShareWare v/3.20a
  2. A Windows 3.1/95/NT graphic viewer, printer, converter, catalog, and
  3. explorer for GIF, JPEG, PNG, BMP, PCX, IFF/LMB/HAM, Targa, etc. This
  4. windows application, derived from the popular DOS CompuShow (CSHOW and
  5. 2SHOW) and CompuLog programs, adds multi-media (movies, music, and
  6. sound) files and a Windows screen saver. It also displays text files and
  7. decodes UUencoded, XXencoded, and MIME encoded (Internet EMail) files.
  8. Similarly, it uuENcodes graphics for sending by EMail. By simply
  9. checking file types (such as GIF, JPG, AVI, MOV, etc.) CompuShow sets
  10. itself up as an associated viewer for File Manager/Explorer so that
  11. double-clicking the file (or dragging it to the CompuShow window or
  12. icon) displays it. Parental Controls keep children from erasing or
  13. renaming files and prevent their viewing files not intended for younger
  14. eyes. File conversion functions include "save as wallpaper" and setting
  15. the background and transparent colors of GIF files (for non-rectangular
  16. images on Web pages). View Lists (scripted slide shows) may include
  17. pictures, music and sounds from different disk drives and directories
  18. and may be run either with a timed delay between images or in manual
  19. (presentation) mode, allowing you to move forward and backward through
  20. the script. The Image Gallery is a full-featured image "thumbnail"
  21. database, to catalog all picture files on your hard disk (floppies, CDs,
  22. etc), classify them and assign descriptive keywords. The (new in version
  23. 3.2) color adjustment Tools adjust image contrast, brightness, tint,
  24. etc. to improve the quality before printing or saving.
