  3. A Windows 3.1/95/NT graphic viewer, printer, converter, catalog, and
  4. explorer for GIF, JPEG, PNG, BMP, PCX, IFF/LMB/HAM, Targa, etc. This
  5. windows application, derived from the popular DOS CompuShow (CSHOW
  6. and 2SHOW) and CompuLog programs, adds multi-media (movies, music,
  7. and sound) files and a Windows screen saver. It also displays text
  8. files and decodes UUencoded, XXencoded, and MIME encoded (Internet
  9. EMail) files. Similarly, it uuENcodes graphics for sending by EMail.
  10. By simply checking file types (such as GIF, JPG, AVI, MOV, etc.)
  11. CompuShow sets itself up as an associated viewer for File
  12. Manager/Explorer so that double-clicking the file (or dragging it to
  13. the CompuShow window or icon) displays it. Parental Controls keep
  14. children from erasing or renaming files and prevent their viewing
  15. files not intended for younger eyes. File conversion functions
  16. include "save as wallpaper" and setting the background and
  17. transparent colors of GIF files (for non-rectangular images on Web
  18. pages). View Lists (scripted slide shows) may include pictures,
  19. music and sounds from different disk drives and directories and may
  20. be run either with a timed delay between images or in manual
  21. (presentation) mode, allowing you to move forward and backward
  22. through the script. The Image Gallery is a full-featured image
  23. "thumbnail" database, to catalog all picture files on your hard disk
  24. (floppies, CDs, etc), classify them and assign descriptive keywords.
  25. The (new in version 3.2) color adjustment Tools adjust image
  26. contrast, brightness, tint, etc. to improve the quality before
  27. printing or saving.
