  6. FastScan  -  The  one  of  the  fastest virus scanners
  7. available  today.  FastScan  scans  for  all  kinds of
  8. viruses like macro, boot, partition, file, stealth and
  9. polymorphic viruses.  FastScan is a  singel executable
  10. runs in both Windows & DOS.

  29. INSTALLATION GUIDELINES

  31. Under Windows:
  32. -------------
  33.    Run Setup.exe in program manager RUN command or Run
  34.    Setup  in Dos.  Setup is  Windows full installation
  35.    utility. Setup program will  copy all the necessary
  36.    files to  destination directory. Setup  will create
  37.    FastScan Icons in Program manager Window.

  39.    Supports Command Line execution under windows...

  41.    FSCAN.EXE <file/directory>

  44. Under DOS:
  45. ----------
  46.    Run FSCAN.EXE in DOS prompt directly.
  47.    Syntax:     FSCAN <Drive Name> < -e [-a] >
  48.  
  49.    The  switch -e  stands for  scan only  executables.
  50.    Switch  -a is  default switch  stands for  scan all
  51.    files.

  53. SCANNING METHODS:
  54. ------------------

  56.    Make  a  copy  of  bootable  floppy  and  copy  all
  57.    Fastscan files to that floppy. This will be helpful
  58.    when  your system  boot sector  or partition  table
  59.    infected, you can boot your system with that floppy
  60.    and you scan for virus in <A> prompt using FSCAN.

  62. 1. Under DOS Run FSCAN.exe
  63.  
  64. 2.  Under  windows,  Click  Fastscan  icon  and select
  65. appropriate drive and click <scan> button.
