  1. Here is a list of features that are new in PMView 0.92.

  3.  1. Built-in Screen Capture that lets you capture a selected window, the
  4.     interior of a window, the whole screen, or a selected area of the
  5.     screen.
  6.  
  7.  2. New command line option /SHOrtfileretry that lets you use PMView to view
  8.     images while they're being downloaded via FTP, FTP-PM, C-Kermit, nFTP,
  9.     LiveWire 2.2, and many other programs. (Any program should work as long
  10.     as it permits read sharing and writes the image sequentially.) If you
  11.     add a timeout value to this flag, you can also use it to view POV-Ray
  12.     images while they're being rendered!

  14.  3. TAP Support for LiveWire 3.0 and other terminal emulators that support
  15.     LiveWire TAP. This will allow progressive display of images as they're
  16.     downloaded. (In order to use this feature, you'll need to get the latest
  17.     release of LiveWire. ZOC will also support TAP in a future version.)
  18.  
  19.  4. New Progressive Loading option, on by default (setting is on the
  20.    "Loading" page in PMView's notebook). This is useful for viewing files
  21.    while they're being downloaded or created, or for seeing file
  22.    interlacing.

  24.  5. Read and write support for PNG (Portable Network Graphics) files.

  26.  6. Read and write support for IFF (Electronic Arts) files.

  28.  7. Read and write support for MSP (Microsoft Paint) files.

  30.  8. Target directory for file conversions can now be specified on the
  31.     "Directories" page in PMView's options notebook.

  33.  9. Separate option for confirm on slideshow save.

  35. 10. You can now toggle the visibility of hidden files in the FOC
  36.     (View->Hidden Files)

  38. 11. You can toggle the display of Longnames and Hidden directories in the
  39.     directory box (in the File Open and File Save dialogs).

  41. 12. The File Revert command has been changed to a File Recall conditional
  42.     cascade that remembers the last 8 files
  43.     
  44. 13. Each drive can have different view settings in the FOC.
  45.  
  46. 14. There are new FOC options that let you specify whether to create
  47.     thumbnails when saving and converting files.

  49. 15. New, more OS/2-like mini icons in the FOB drives combo. PMView now also
  50.     has separate icons for CD-ROM, 3.5" disk, and removable media (disk
  51.     drive icon was used for these in PMView 0.90).

  53. 16. GIF and TIFF-LZW are now licensed from Unisys.

  55. 17. There are new GIF save options: Version, Interlace, Transparency, and
  56.     Background. These can be very helpful when creating Web pages.

  58. 18. There is a new JPEG save option: Progressive JPEG

  60. 19. There are new TGA save options: RightToLeft, TopToBottom, and
  61.     InterlaceType.

  63. 20. New TIFF save options: Compression, Photometric, and
  64.     Strip size (Compression: [None, Packbits, CCITTRLE, CCITTFAX3,
  65.     CCITTFAX4, and LZW], CCITTFAX3 options: [2D-Encoding, Fillbits,
  66.     Uncompressed], CCITTFAX4 options: [Uncompressed], LZW options:
  67.     [Horizontal differencing predictor], Photometric: [White is Min, and
  68.     Black is Min], Strip size: [4, 8, 16, and 32 kB])
