- ■ GENERAL RECORDING INSTRUCTIONS
-
- Recording is done using the Creative Labs double buffering
- driver. All recording is done by recording directly into
- a file. This allows for recording with no time limit,
- accept of course your hard disk space available.

- If you record a file, and then select to record again without
- selecting another file name, the previously recorded file will
- be erased! Remember that!

- ■ Record file
-
- Activate this button to start the recording sequence. After this
- is started, a dialog box will appear allowing you to Pause,
- Continue, or Stop the recording

- After the recording has started, begin immediately speaking into
- the microphone
-

- ■ Delete file
-
- Activate this button to delete the last recorded file. You can
- only delete a file you just recorded.

- ■ Play recording
-
- Playback the recorded file by activating this button. On Sound
- Blaster Pro and SB 16, the input channel volume will be turned
- off until playback is finished so that you can hear what you
- just recorded without mixing the playback with the input.

- ■ Rate Group
-
- Select the radio button for the frequency to record
-
- ■ Input Group
-
- Select the input channel to record from. When you select a
- channel, the volume for that channel will be automatically
- turned up. (SB Pro and SB 16 only)

- ■ Settings Group
-
- Select 8 bit or 16 bit recording. (not implemented in this
- version to keep this program compatible with all SB cards).

- ■ Filter Group
-
- Select the desired recording filters (SB Pro and SB 16 only)

- ■ Recorded file size
-
- This will display the size of the last recorded file in
- units of kBytes (1000 bytes)
-
- ■ KBytes free disk space
-
- This will display the available free disk space on the drive
- that is selected in units of kBytes (1000 bytes)
-
- ■ File path\name to record
-
- This is the currently selected path\filename to record. Activate
- the File button to select a new filename
-
- ■ Select new file
-
- This push button when activated will bring up a file dialog box to
- select a new path\filename to record
-
- ■ Begin recording
-
- Activate this button to start the recording sequence. After this
- is started, a dialog box will appear allowing you to Pause,
- Continue, or Stop the recording

- After the recording has started, begin immediately speaking into
- the microphone

- ■ Cancel

- Activate this button to end the Recording Dialog session
