  143. VUse the system variable for a header or footer that may change from page to page. For 
  144. Yexample, a header/footer that includes section headings changes from page to page as the 
  145. sections change.

  150. OTo create a special page layout, such as a newsletter, you may want to change

  154. Keeping FrameMaker from generating pages
  155. VUsually, FrameMaker creates a new page when you fill a text column on a page. To keep 
  156. RFrameMaker from generating pages, choose Flow from the Format menu, and turn off     
  157. Autoconnect.
  158. Aligning the last lines in adjacent columns
  159. `To align the last lines in adjacent columns (called feathering), put the insertion point in the ab
  160. Wflow, choose Flow from the Format menu, and turn on Feathering. To specify the maximum 
  161. Xamount of spacing (padding) FrameMaker can insert between paragraphs and lines, specify 
  162. Rthe Maximum Interline Padding and Maximum Inter-
  163.  Padding in the Flow dialog box.
