  2. Installation
  3. ------------

  5. There are 2 files that must be installed on your Palm Pilot
  6. in order to use PocketSat:
  7.  
  8. PocketSat_trial.prc (or PocketSat_reg.prc) - the PocketSat application.
  9.  
  10. Mathlib.prc - Rich Heubner's invaluable double precision math library.
  11.  
  12. A third file, sampsats.pdb, is a PocketSat input database
  13. containing some (almost certainly out-of-date) sample
  14. satellite orbit data. You can either install this database to
  15. play with, or ignore it and go to the PocketSat web site
  16. ( http://www.emmgraphics.com/pilot ) to get current data.

  22. V2.2 - 29 November, 2000
  23.     - Fixed a bug when calulating passes for periods less than 3 hours
  24.       long overlapping either sunrise or sunset.
  25.     - Fixed the very infrequent but fatal "Bad Category" error.

  28.     - Added GMT+13 timezone for New Zealand during Daylight Savings Time

  38.     - Added user-customizable color support including night-vision 
  39.       preserving "red mode." The same version works with both color
  40.       and B&W devices.
  41.     - Merged PocketSat.prc and SGPLib.prc into a single file.
  42.     - Now allows multiple selectable observer locations.
  43.     - Changed Latitude and Longitude entry (now takes N/S and E/W instead of +/-)
  44.     - Added new optimizations.
  45.     - Removed "visibility optimizations" as a preferences choice.

  47. V1.5 - 10 August, 1999

  49.     - Added the ability to set alarms that go off at or near the
  50.       beginning of a pass.
  51.     - Added tests to make sure there is enough memory before
  52.       performing operations that need it.
  53.     - Progress bar now shows completed fraction of entire calculation
  54.       instead of just one satellite.
  55.     - If "All Passes" is selected in Preferences, pass "goodness" in
  56.       main list just reflects maximum altitude, not visibility. This
  57.       is for radio people.
  58.     - Added 24:00 to time choices dialog.

  60. V1.4 - 15 June, 1999

  62.      - Satellites are organized into PalmOs categories.
  63.      - You can now add to a pass list, without clearing the results of
  64.        previous calculations.
  65.      - Added half-hour timezones.
  66.      - The Pass Details form can now be copied to the clipboard.
  67.      - Added a visibility optimization to test for times when the Sun is
  68.        "too low."
  69.      - The Pass Details form now shows 9 points, rather than 5.
  70.      - If no satellites are selected, the program will tell you so if you try
  71.        to perform a calculation.
  72.      - The Satellites database is no longer backed up during a HotSync.
  73.        This saves a lot of time.
  74.      - Fixed a bug that prevented you from entering a longitude or latitude
  75.        between 0 and -1 degree (kind of a bear for people in London.)

  78.      - Fixed DB import bug which could cause a crash if extra data was
  79.        at the end of an import database
  80.      - Added GMT+9.5 timezone for South Australia

  83.      - Added live elevation/azimuth display to plot.
  84.      - Import process now rejects high-orbit satellites.

  88.      - Changed time zones from '-2' to 'GMT-2' for clarity.

  90.      - Added potentially useful error messages to both import methods.
  91.      - Both import methods now verify data checksums.
  92.      - 'Thru' time now gets immediately set to requested end time
  93.        rather than waiting for calculation to complete.
