  1. The following are the steps needed to install the latest software update.
  2.  
  3.  
  4. Step I: UNINSTALL THE CURRENT SOFTWARE
  5.  
  6.     1. Click "Start" on the taskbar, point to "Settings" and then click 
  7.        "Control Panel".
  8.  
  9.     2. Double-click the "Add/Remove Programs" icon.
  10.  
  11.     3. Select "PC-DVD Encore" and click the "Add/Remove" button.
  12.        This uninstalls the current program.
  13.  
  14.     4. Proceed to Step IIA if you are using Retail Windows 95,
  15.        and Step IIB if you are using OEM Service Release 2.

  18. Step IIA: UPDATE DEVICE DRIVERS (for Retail Windows 95)
  19.  
  20.     1. Click "Start" on the taskbar, point to "Settings" and then click 
  21.        "Control Panel".
  22.  
  23.     2. Double-click the "System" icon.
  24.  
  25.     3. Click the "Device Manger" tab.
  26.  
  27.     4. Click the plus (+) sign next to "Sound, video, and game controllers"
  28.        and double-click "Creative PC-DVD Encore".
  29.  
  30.     5. Click the "Driver" tab.

  32.     6. Click the "Change Driver" button.
  33.  
  34.     7. Click the "Have Disk" button.
  35.  
  36.     8. Click the "Browse" button and go to the directory where you extracted
  37.        the files and click the "OK" button.

  39.     9. Click the "Finish" button.
  40.        The system prompts you for the disc labelled "PC-DVD".

  42.     10. Click the "OK" button.

  44.     11. Click the "Browse" button and go to the directory where you extracted
  45.         the files and click the "OK" button.

  47.     12. After the drivers are updated, RESTART THE SYSTEM.

  52. Step IIB: UPDATE DEVICE DRIVERS (for OEM Service Release 2)

  54.     1. Click "Start" on the taskbar, point to "Settings" and then click

  59.     3. Click the "Device Manger" tab.

  66.     6. Click the "Update Driver" button.

  68.     7. Click the "Yes (Recommended)" option button.

  70.     8. Click the "Next" Button and WAIT for the "Other Locations" button to

  73.     9. Click the "Other Locations" button.

  75.     10. Click the "Browse" button and go to the directory where you extracted
  76.         the files and click the "OK" button.

  78.     11. Click the "Finish" button.
  79.         The system prompts you for the disc labelled "PC-DVD".

  83.     13. Click the "Browse" button and go to the directory where you extracted
  84.         the files and click the "OK" button.
