The Spell Utility lets you create and edit main word lists for your business or field (such as medicine or law). You can also use the utility to merge main word lists together and to convert main word lists from previous formats.

To add words to a main word list
1 Click the Add words tab.
2 Click Browse, and navigate to the main word list you want to update.
3 Double-click the filename.
4 On the Add Words page, click Open.
5 Type each word you want to add in the New word text box, then click Add.
6 Click Save.
To convert a main word list file to a different format
1 Click the Convert tab.
2 Choose a conversion type from the Conversion type list box.
3 Click Browse beside the Source file name box, and navigate to your source file.
4 Double-click the filename.
5 Click Browse beside the Destination file name box, and navigate to your destination file.
6 Double-click the filename.
7 Click Convert.
Tip
The source and destination files must correspond to the conversion type you select.
To delete words from a main word list
1 Click the Delete words tab.
2 Click Browse, and navigate to the main word list you want to update.
3 Double-click the filename.
4 On the Delete Words page, click Open.
5 Double-click each word you want to delete from the main word list.
6 Click Save.
Note
You can only delete words that you have added to the main word list.
To merge a word list with another word list
1 Click the Merge tab.
2 Choose a merge type from the Merge type list box.
3 Click Browse beside the Source file name box, and navigate to your source file.
4 Double-click the filename.
5 Click Browse beside the Target file name box, and navigate to your target file.
6 Double-click the filename.
7 Enable one of the following options:
Add words in source to target
Delete words in source from target
8 Click Merge.
Note
The source and target files must correspond to the merge type you select.
To view the contents of a main word list
1 Click the View tab.
2 Click Browse, and navigate to the main word list you want to view.
3 Double-click the filename.
4 On the View page, click Open.
5 Type the word you want to view in the Word box.
6 Click Look up.
To create a main word list
1 Create a file in a WordPerfect document, ANSI text file, or ASCII text file. Insert or type some or all of the words you want in the list.
2 Run the Spell Utility (WT11SPTLEN.EXE), then click the Convert tab.
3 Choose a conversion type from the Conversion type list box.
4 Click Browse beside the Source file name box, and navigate to the file created in Step 1.
5 Double-click the filename.
6 Click Browse beside the Destination file name box, and type the name and extension of the main word list you want to create in the File name box.
7 Click Open.
8 Click Convert.
Note
The file you create in step 1 must contain at least one word before you can convert it into a main word list (.mor) file.
main word list
A large list of specialized words used by Spell Checker for a particular language, field (such as legal and medical), or company. The main word list files included with the English, French, Spanish, Italian, German, and Dutch versions of Corel applications have a .mor extension (the English file is WT11EN.MOR).
