Create accounts for all/each user from your LAN only if you want to track Internet usage on user basis. Otherwise setup Proxy-Pro GateKeeper server to allow <a href="/rules/hlpRules.agp#GuestAccess">guest access</a> from all computers from your LAN.<br>
There are two account types:
<br>    1. <a href=#Users name"Users">User accounts</a> for individual users and
<br>    2. <a href=#Groups name"Groups">Group accounts</a> for groups of users.
<br>
- create and edit users under the <a href="users.agp">Users</a> menu. You can also import the NT domain accounts if you have users on Windows NT domains.<br>
- arrange your Internet users in logical groups under the <a href="groups.agp">Groups</a> menu. Each user can be member of one or more groups. Creating user-groups is useful when you want to set up Internet access restrictions. Rules sets will apply for groups so you will not have to set up restrictions individually for each one of your Proxy-Pro GateKeeper clients.
Create new user accounts or change the settings for an existing user.
In the main window will appear the Users page containing a table with all the Proxy-Pro GateKeeper user accounts and a button to add new users. The fields of the table are:
<br> 1. the users (nick)name - as a link that edits the users properties, if selected (in the Edit user account page press the Commit button to save the changes, the Remove button to remove the user),
<br> 2. Enabled - specifies if user is enabled/disabled (a disabled user cannot login with GKAccess),
<br> 3. On-line - on-line means that the user is logged in with GKAccess,
<br> 4. Real name - The user real name,
<br> 5. Description - a small description of the user.

Selecting the <New user account> button, the <Add new user account> page will appear. Field descriptions:
<br> 1. User name - the (nick)name of the user (requested by GKAccess as Username),
<br> 2. Password - the user secret password (requested by Proxy-Pro GateKeeper Access as Password),
<br> 3. Confirm Password - confirm the password typed in the previous field,
<br> 4. Full name - the user real name,
<br> 5. Description - the user description,
<br> 6. Enabled - specifies that the user is enabled/disabled (can/cannot connect to Proxy-Pro GateKeeper with Proxy-Pro GateKeeper Access),
<br> 7. User can change password - if checked the user can change his/her password with Proxy-Pro GateKeeper Access,
<br> 8. User must change password at next logon - if checked, the user will be forced to change his/her password after the first logon with Proxy-Pro GateKeeper Access.

If the Proxy-Pro GateKeeper was installed onto a computer with Windows NT the following fields are also available:
<br> 9. Domain name - the name of the domain where the NT user account is defined,
<br> 10. Is NT domain account - if checked the user can login with NT user account (with the name of the user currently logged on to the system),
<br> 11. Allow connection without NT domain authentication - if checked the user can login without NT user account in spite of the user account being an NT account (the username and password field has to be filled manually).

You can also set the new user to be a member of an existing group, by checking in the checkboxes beside the group names.
Press the "Commit" button to save the settings or the "Remove" button to delete a user.
