  41. This release of the "HP LaserJet 6P/6MP PostScript Printer PPD" supports the PostScript printer language with the HP LaserJet 6P/6MP printer.

  55. BEFORE YOU INSTALL!

  58. - Close all applications and programs that load at startup such as virus checkers, fax 
  59. utilities, etc., and all other applications that may be open. 
  60. - Close any shell utilities such as: Microsoft Office Manager, Norton 
  61. Desktop, Dashboard, etc.

  66. In order to close some shell utilities you will need to de-install the
  67. software.  Refer to the documentation provided with that utility.

  70. Hint: Simultaneously press [Ctrl] and [Esc] to launch the "Task List" 
  71. window. In it select each application, except Program Manager, and click 
  72. on "End Task" to close it.

  75. the HP LaserJet 6P/6MP PostScript Printer PPD, you can turn these programs back on.

  82. For printing to the HP LaserJet 6P/6MP printer using PostScript, Hewlett-Packard 
  83. recommends the use of the HP LaserJet 6P/6MP PostScript Printer PPD.

  86. Installing your printer for Windows NT 3.51 for the first time:

  88. 1. Go to Main in Program Manager and select "Control Panel"
  89. 2. Select "Printers"
  90. 3. Under Printer, choose "Create Printer"
  91. 4. Under Drivers, choose "Other..."
  92. 5. Put "HPLaserJet 6P/6MP PostScript Printer PPD Disk" into appropriate disk drive          (change path if necessary)
  93. 6. Choose <OK> to select the "HP LaserJet 6P/6MP PS"
  94. 7. Complete the printer configuration process (enter printer name, etc.)
