  15. 1.    This program enables you to make settings, which you would normally 
  16.         make in the Printer Setting mode via the printer's control panel, 
  17.         in the software.
  18.  
  19.     Further information on the different factory settings can be found in 
  20.         section 2.4 of the User's Manual.

  23. 2.    Before you run the program, first make sure that the printer is properly
  24.         connected with the PC and then switch on the printer.
  25.  
  26.     !!! Caution: !!!
  27.         When you switch on the printer, be careful not to hold down any of the 
  28.         control panel buttons.  This is only necessary when you want to alter 
  29.         your printer's factory settings via the control panel.

  31.     To start the program, enter the following at the DOS prompt:

  33.                             COL2CUK <Return>
  34.  
  35.     Then display the Main Menu by pressing <Return>.  The Main Menu contains 
  36.         a list of the factory settings.  Use the cursor keys to highlight the 
  37.         setting you wish to alter and then press <Return> to display the menu 
  38.         containing a list of the possible settings.

  40.     To exit the individual menus, simply press <Esc>.  You can also use 
  41.         <Esc> to call up the dialog box for exiting the program.

  43.     Once you have altered the factory settings, print the self test to check
  44.         the new settings. To print the self test, hold down the Economy/Condensed 
  45.         button on the printer's control panel and then switch on the printer. To 
  46.         select the language, press the ALT button as as indicated in the table
  47.         and then confirm your selection by pressing the PAUSE button. The self 
  48.         test will be printed out with the current settings.
