  20. This is detection of an active phone and cable on one of the COM ports,
  21. and is invoked on installation, and by running the Soft Modem Device
  22. Driver Setup Utility. Note that dectection of the phone tends to be
  23. unreliable shortly after powering the phone up. It is best if you wait
  24. until the phone beeps to indicate it has initialised before attempting
  25. autodetection. If the phone is not detected, disconnect the cable from
  26. the phone, then re-connect (the phone will beep, acknowledging the
  27. reset), wait a short time (about 5 seconds) and choose the detect option,
  28. or select the COM port manually.

  39. Uninstallation
  40. --------------
  41. In order to Uninstall the application, use the Control Panel | Add/Remove
  42. Programs option. This will delete the program files and device drivers,
  43. directories and registry entries.

  45. Make sure that you do not delete the Mobile.ini file, the CleanUp(NT).DLL
  46. file, or edit the User or ModemID values in the Mobile.ini file, or the
  47. uninstallation will fail.

  49. Under Windows NT and Windows 98, it is best to reboot your machine after
  50. uninstallation, in order to ensure that the services are removed.
  51.  
  52. A Windows 95/98 cleanup utility MobRegClean.exe is provided on the Last
  53. Install Disk. This is useful if you did not uninstall correctly, or wish
  54. ensure that all instances of Mobile are removed from your system, including
  55. the Device Drivers and Registry Entries. If you use this program, it is
  56. best to reboot your machine in order to ensure that the port is removed
  57. correctly, especially under Windows 98. If run on Windows NT, MobRegClean
  58. will remove the program files, but not the port and modem, from the system.

  63. .MDM files for the Device Driver are provided on the First Install Disk
  64. (Disk #1). These are samgpmble.mdm and samgpnts.mdm.
