Recovery:\n\nPerform a secure bootstrap from a clean system disk with
the same version of the operating system as the one installed on the hard disk.\n\n
To disinfect hard disks, use the DOS version of SWEEP and select
'Disinfect infected disks' from the 'Virus removal' option or run SWEEP -DI from the command line.\n\n
To eliminate the virus from floppy disks, copy all data off each infected floppy disk
, then reformat it using the DOS FORMAT command.\n\n
To eliminate the virus from a hard disk master boot sector use the FDISK /MBR command. This will overwrite the
infected master boot sector. Otherwise backup the data and perform a low-level format for the hard disk (not just the DOS FORMAT!).\n\n
To eliminate the virus from the hard disk DOS boot sector use the SYS C: command from
the DOS prompt. This will overwrite the infected boot sector.\n\n
SWEEP can remove all affected files automatically.
Alternatively, infected files may be deleted manually.\n\n
Note that the virus may be resident both in the boot sector
and in executables.\n\n
See user manual for
further details.\n
To disinfect floppy disks, select
'Disinfect boot sectors' from the 'Action' page.\n\n
Recovery:\n\n
To disinfect infected objects delete all macros belonging to the virus.\n\n
Recovery:\n\nTo disinfect infected documents, select
'Disinfect documents' from the 'Action' page and Sweep the drive once again.\n\n
Recovery:\n\n
To clean affected documents, delete all macros belonging to the Trojan.\n\n
