  66. This package contains ActiveDiary full-version. The program
  67. is a 32-bit encrypted/password protected Diary/Journal application for
  68. Windows 2000/98/95/NT. You may use the program for free for up to 30 days
  69. at which point the program will lock itself.
  70. Registration costs $25 and will unlock this version. In
  71. addition, you will receive free new versions for one year (major and
  72. minor), plus free web-based technical support. Special upgrade pricing
  73. will be available on major releases past the initial year, subject to
  74. calendar-based or version-based requirements.

  76. ActiveDiary is not simply a place to write your diary and keep it secure. It 
  77. is a tool chest of wonderful functions to help you organize your thoughts, 
  78. ideas, business activities, writing snippets, etc. ActiveDiary will allow you 
  79. to easily share this data with other applications such as Microsoft Word, 
  80. Access, HTML, Rich-Text, etc.

  82. The interface of ActiveDiary is similar to that of Microsoft Outlook. The 
  83. functionality has been designed in such a way as to maximize data reuse 
  84. through the use of our Print Engine and Import/Export Engine.

  86. Features include: WYSIWYG editor with support for multiple fonts, colors,
  87. sizes, bold/italic/underline/strike, bullet lists, paragraph formats, 
  88. indents, embedded/linked graphics, videos, sounds, files, web links,
  89. email links, ftp links, and more. All information in ActiveDiary is encrypted
  90. using RSA-encryption and is password protected. The program will hold an 
  91. unlimited number of accounts, so everyone in your family/office can have 
  92. their own unique environments. Each account can hold an unlimited number of
  93. calendar based diaries, free-form (hierarchical tree) based diaries, as well
  94. as all of the supporting functions. The ActiveDiary Welcome Page gives you 
  95. a personalized greeting to the program, complete with a Quote of the Day, a 
  96. tip of the day, and an analysis of any goals you have that are coming due. 
  97. Our Print Engine offers print preview with fully customizable settings for 
  98. borders, margins, styles, headers/footers, etc.

  100. Other features include a Goal Manager, which allows you to keep track
  101. of your goals with icon-based status, days left, and complete status. Another
  102. feature is the VirtualSafe -- this is a place that you can keep track of all
  103. of your important numbers, passwords, etc. You can use the VSEncryption Engine
  104. to encrypt and decrypt files on your system using Blowfish 64 security.
  105. QuickVault(tm) acts like a screen saver which locks you out of the program
  106. after a certain time of inactivity which you specify -- you can
  107. also manually invoke this via CTRL-Q or a toolbar button. A Biography section
  108. lets you work on your personal memoir, while the Scrapbook function lets you 
  109. keep mixed text/media together for future use. A Sticky Notes function allows 
  110. you to keep virtual sticky notes, or snippets of information for later use. A 
  111. contact manager lets you keep all of your friends and associates information. 
  112. To maximize the reuse of your data, both of these functions will import/export to
  113. a variety of formats including Microsoft Outlook. The ListBuilder function prompts 
  114. you with topics to spark that novel or memoir you have been longing to write.

  116. Enhanced editor functions such as customizable AutoCorrect (automatic replacing 
  117. of misspelled words/shortcuts on-the-fly), Multlingual spell checking, Thesaurus, 
  118. Text Styles, and Drag & Drop of text/items give you full word processing features 
  119. with the security to really protect your private information.

  121. ActiveDiary will import/export the following formats: HTML, Microsoft Word, Microsoft 
  122. Access, Microsoft Outlook, Rich Text (RTF), ASCII, and Delimitted (CSV).

  133. To install this program, unzip the downloaded file (ADSetup.Zip) 
  134. to a temporary directory. Double-click on the file "Setup.exe" This
  135. will start the automated installation program.

  137. To uninstall, choose "Add/Remove Programs" from the Control Panel in Windows 
  138. and select "ActiveDiary."

  168. competent jurisdiction located in San Diego County, California.  The parties
  169. hereby consent to in personam jurisdiction of said courts.

  177. copyrighted products of WinDine Software and are protected by
  178. United States copyright law and also by international treaty provisions.

  180. All rights not expressly granted here are reserved to WinDine
  181. Software.  The use or distribution of these products is expressly
  182. prohibited, except as authorized by the terms of this agreement.

  184. You may not use, copy, rent, lease, sell, modify, decompile,
  185. disassemble, otherwise reverse engineer, or transfer the licensed
  186. program except as provided in this agreement.

  188. U.S. Government Restricted Rights:  Use, duplication, or disclosure
  189. by the U.S. Government of the computer software and documentation in
  190. this package shall be subject to restrictions as set forth in
  191. subdivision (b)(3)(ii) of the Rights in Technical Data and Computer

  200. for evaluation purposes for a period not to exceed thirty days.

  204. If you continue using this software after the thirty-day evaluation
  205. period, you MUST make the prescribed registration payment to Windine
  206. Software Company.

  208. LICENSE TERMS APPLICABLE TO USE OF REGISTERED VERSION

  210. The software and the disks on which it is contained are licensed on
  211. a non-exclusive basis to you, the purchaser, for your own use.  You
  212. are not obtaining title to the software or any copyright rights.
  213. You may use the licensed software on a single personal computer system,
  214. and make as many copies as needed for backup and archival purposes.
  215. If you need to use these products on more than one computer, please
  216. contact us concerning site licenses.

  218. LIMITED DISTRIBUTION LICENSE

  220. Permission is granted to individuals charging no fees, and to BBSes,
  221. User Groups, Mail-Order Disk Vendors, CD-ROM publishers, and BBS

  223. ActiveDiary, provided they convey a complete and unaltered copy of
  224. the shareware version of this product, and provided they claim no
  225. ownership of these products.
