Many computers will not be able to function after year 2000. This is known as the millenium bug. Set Me Up will test your computer for its year 2000 compatibility. Click the Test for Year 2000 button to do this. Set Me Up will set the date to 01.01 2000. After this, reboot your computer and open Date/Time settings in the Control Panel. If the date displayed is 01.01 2000, your hardware will handle dates after year 2000. If the date is set to anything else, it means that your computer is not Millennium Compliant. The hardware itself does not guarantee complete protection, so you may wish to test any software applications you may have. ENSURE THAT YOU RESTORE THE DATE AND TIME SETTINGS AFTER THIS TEST
