  61. - Windows 95 or Windows 98
  62. - PC with an Intel(r), AMD(r) or, Cyrix(r) based processor
  63. - One free PCI slot (or two free PCI slots for SLI)
  64. - 16MB of RAM or more Suggested
  65.

  67. Installation
  68. ------------
  69. The installation below can vary depending on which version of Windows
  70. is installed.  To determine the Windows 95 version click Start, 
  71. Settings, Control Panel. Double-click on the system icon. If the 
  72. Windows version is 4.00.950b, Windows 95 OEM SR2 is running.

  75. Existing Drivers Installed or PCI Multimedia Device shown in Device Mgr
  76. -----------------------------------------------------------------------
  77. 1) Start Windows and extract the drivers to a temporary directory.
  78.  
  79. 2) Open Device Manager (Start, Settings, Control Panel, System)
  80.  
  81. 3) Locate the existing reference to the card it will be listed as:
  82.  
  83.        Reference Card: Other Devices / PCI Multimedia Device or
  84.                Sound, Video, Game Controllers / Voodoo2
  85.  
  86. 4) Double Click on the card, then click the driver Tab
  87.  
  88.      Windows 95 Standard Release users: Click "Change Driver" and choose
  89.                                         "Have Disk"
  90.               Windows 95 OEM SR2 users: Click "Update Driver" then click
  91.                                         the Next Button.  Click "Other
  92.                                         Locations" 
  93.                       Windows 98 users: Click "Update Driver" then click
  94.                                         the Next Button twice on the
  95.                                         Detection Dialog Box. Ensure that
  96.                                         "Specify a Location" is checked and
  97.                                         "Microsoft Windows Update" is not
  98.                                         checked. Click Browse to continue.

  100. 5) Point the driver location to where the files are extracted to and click
  101.    OK.  
  102.  
  103.      Windows Standard Release 95 users: Select "Voodoo2 3D Accelerator" 
  104.                                         from the List and click OK.
  105.                                         Click OK again to save changes in
  106.                                         Device Manager.
  107.               Windows 95 OEM SR2 Users: Click on Finish to continue.
  108.                       Windows 98 users: Click on Next to continue.

  110. 6) You MAY then be prompted to insert the "Voodoo Graphics Drivers for
  111.    Windows 9X" Disk.  Again, point to the path you extracted the files 
  112.    to and press OK.
  113.  
  114. 7) Windows will copy the drivers. Reboot the system when prompted
  115.  
  116. 8) Install DirectX 5.0 or higher  (If not already installed)
  117.

  120. No Current Drivers Installed
  121. ---------------------------------------------------

  123. 1) Start Windows and extract the drivers to a temporary directory.
  124.  
  125. 2) Shutdown Windows, Power off the system and install your Voodoo2
  126.    3D board into a PCI slot. 
  127.  
  128. 3) Restart Windows after hardware installation.
  129.  
  130. 4) Windows will detect a "PCI Multimedia Device", you need to:
  131.  
  132.      Windows 95 Standard Release users: Select "Use Driver from Mfr"
  133.                                         and click OK
  134.               Windows 95 OEM SR2 users: Click the Next Button on the
  135.                                         Detection Dialog Box. Then click
  136.                                         "Other Locations"
  137.                       Windows 98 users: Click the Next Button twice on the
  138.                                         Detection Dialog Box. Ensure that
  139.                                         "Specify a Location" is checked and
  140.                                         "Microsoft Windows Update" is not
  141.                                         checked. Click Browse to continue.
  142.  
  143. 5) Point the driver location to where the files are extracted to and click
  144.    OK.  (Windows 98: You will need to click on Next to continue)
  145.  
  146. 6) You MAY then be prompted to insert the "Voodoo2 Drivers for Windows 9X"
  147.    Disk.  Enter the path the drivers are extracted to and press OK.
  148.  
  149. 7) Windows will copy the drivers. Reboot the system when prompted
  150.  
  151. 8) Install DirectX 5.0 or higher  (If not already installed)

  156. OpenGL(r) ICD: Known Limitations
  157. ----------------------------------
  158. The OpenGL ICD included with this kit is meant for use with OpenGL based 
  159. games only. It may not be compatible with other applications that use the 
  160. OpenGL API for 3D rendering support.
