- Installation
-
- Unzip the file called WAVEIT.ZIP in a temporary directory.
- Run the programme setup.exe. This will copy the right files and install
- a program manager group for Waveit.
-
- --------------------------------------
- WaveIt is so easy to use you don't need instructions ! (I might regret saying that !).
- It will automatically search your hard disk for wave files, and even copy files located
- on a CD Rom or network drive into your Windows directory, in case these drives become
- unavailable later.
-
- The Waveit screen is made of two lists, or three when you are browsing files.
-
- System sounds
- These are the sounds you can customise, represented
- by an icon.
- Associated Sounds
- These are the sounds that waveit will choose from
- when changing the system sounds, for the selected
- system sound.
- Hard Disk
- These are the WAV files on the drive you chose to
- browse.
-
- Typical scenario :
- 1/ select a system sound on the left
- 2/ click on files, if not already done.
- 3/ Wait for the list of files to be displayed.
- 4/ Select a sound on the hard disk.
- 5/ Associate it with the current sound, or even with
- all the system sounds.
- 6/ Repeat these steps for all the sounds.
- 7/ Save the list
- 8/ Click on CANCEL to minimise Waveit. It will
- change the sounds at random every 30 seconds.
- ---------------------------------------------------------
- WaveIt is FREEWARE. This means you do not need to register or pay for it, and you can redistribute it for free.
