  3. This is the README.TXT file distributed with
  4. version 3.0 of Time Zone, a Control Panel
  5. extension for Windows 95.  Time Zone requires
  6. Windows 95.

  9. COPYRIGHT and COST
  10. ------------------
  11. Time Zone is a copyrighted computer program.
  12. It is created and distributed by Impact Software.
  13. Our intention is to provide Time Zone to companies
  14. and computer owners for their OWN USE ONLY.
  15. You may share Time Zone with others by providing
  16. it to them at the same price we do - free.  A
  17. limited distribution license is included in our
  18. legalese section below for BBS owners and
  19. shareware distributors.

  21. INSTALLING TIME ZONE
  22. --------------------
  23. Impact Software places three files in the original
  24. file package that Time Zone is distributed in.
  25. One of these files is the README.TXT file that you
  26. are reading now.  The other two files are named
  27. TIMEZONE.CPL (the program file) and TIMEZONE.HLP
  28. (the online Help file).  All you need to do to
  29. install Time Zone is copy the TIMEZONE.CPL file
  30. and the TIMEZONE.HLP file to your Windows 95 SYSTEM
  31. folder.  It will automatically be made available
  32. to you by Control Panel.

  34. UNINSTALLING TIME ZONE
  35. ----------------------
  36. Time Zone makes absolutely no updates to any
  37. configuration file on your system (with the exception
  38. of the time zone information in your registry,
  39. which it was designed to do only at your command).
  40. All you need to do to uninstall is to delete the
  41. TIMEZONE.CPL and TIMEZONE.HLP files from your
  42. Windows 95 SYSTEM folder.

  54.  SOFTWARE LICENSE

  56.  Users are granted a limited license to use Time Zone
  57.  on their own computer systems.

  59.  No one may modify or patch the Time Zone executable file
  60.  in any way, including but not limited to decompiling,
  61.  disassembling, or otherwise reverse engineering the program.

  63.  A limited license is granted to copy and distribute Time Zone
  64.  only for the use of others, subject to the above limitations,
  65.  and also the following:

  67.   1)    The Time Zone modules and this README.TXT file must be
  68.         distributed together and in unmodified form.
  69.  
  70.   2)    Time Zone may NOT be packaged to promote any
  71.         other product without a specific license to do so
  72.         from Impact Software.

  74.   3)    No fee, charge, or other compensation may be requested or
  75.         accepted, except as authorized below:

  77.         A) Operators of electronic bulletin board systems (sysops)
  78.            may make Time Zone available for downloading only as
  79.            long as the above conditions are met.  An overall or
  80.            time-dependent charge for the use of the bulletin board
  81.            system is permitted as long as there is not a specific
  82.            charge for the download of Time Zone.

  84.         B) Vendors of user-supported or shareware software approved by
  85.            the ASP may distribute Time Zone, subject to the
  86.            above conditions, without specific permission.  Non-
  87.            approved vendors may distribute Time Zone only after
  88.            obtaining written permission from Impact Software.
  89.            Such permission is usually granted.  Please write for
  90.            details (enclose your catalog).

  92.         C) Non-profit user groups may distribute copies of the
  93.            Time Zone diskette to their members, subject to
  94.            the above conditions, without specific permission.
  95.            Non-profit groups may collect a disk duplication fee
  96.            not to exceed five dollars.

  98.   WARRANTY

  100.   THIS PROGRAM IS DISTRIBUTED AT NO CHARGE FOR THE
  101.   BENEFIT OF ALL USERS OF WINDOWS 95.  IMPACT SOFTWARE
  102.   DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED,
  103.   INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF
  104.   MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE,
  105.   WITH RESPECT TO THE PRODUCT.  SHOULD THE PROGRAM PROVE
  106.   DEFECTIVE, THE PURCHASER ASSUMES THE RISK OF PAYING THE
