  1. Boot Manager 95 Version 1.1a
  2. ----------------------------
  3. Boot Manager 95 is a utility to allow you to easily configure your Windows 95
  4. bootup options.  Windows 95 has configurable boot options that are only
  5. documented in the Windows 95 Resource Kit.  This program allows you to change
  6. these options without having to purchase the Resource Kit.

  8. The boot options are stored in the MSDOS.SYS file in the root folder of you
  9. boot drive.  It is a user configurable file that allows the user to enable
  10. various boot options that range from booting to a previous version of an
  11. operating system (providing there is one which is not always the case in an
  12. OEM setup), to setting an optional path to a Windows directory other than the
  13. default established during setup.

  15. Boot Manager 95 allows you to change only the boot options (for obvious
  16. reasons!).

  26. and may not hold the author liable for any loss or damage.  If you are unable

  31. Installation
  32. ------------
  33. Installation is really simple; Just create a folder for Boot Manager and copy
  34. BOOTMNGR.EXE, TABPRO.VBX, THREED.VBX and README.DOC to it.

  37. System requirements
  38. -------------------
  39. This Application was designed to run only under Windows 95.  It will not run
  40. under Windows 3.0, 3.1, 3.11, Windows for Workgroups or Windows NT.

  42. NOTE: This application also requires the file "VBRUN300.DLL" to be located in
  43.       your "windows\system" Directory in order to load and run correctly.

  45.       If you don't have this file it can be found on most PC related forums
  46.       on compuserve.

  49. Usage
  50. -----
  51. To start Boot Manager, double click on the BOOTMNGR.EXE file from within
  52. Explorer or specify the BOOTMNGR.EXE file in the RUN dialog, accessible from
  53. the Start menu on the task bar.

  55. To use Boot Manager select the tab that contains the setting(s) you want to
  56. change and check or uncheck the option.  Most of the options are
  57. self-explanatory, and instant help is given on screen, for all available
  58. options.

  64.                 Fixed BootFailSafe message at boot.
  65.                 Improved UI no longer needs TABPRO11.VBX.

  71.                 on the C: drive but this is, of course, reassigned by most

  75.                 Sorry, can't use the Windows 95 Registry until the 32-bit
