  13. Welcome to Ingenus Text Blaster(tm), The Ultimate Text File Print Utility(tm)!

  15. Ingenus Text Blaster is an indispensable print utility program for people who
  16. print text files and IBM mainframe SYSOUT files on Windows page printers
  17. (laser and ink jet).  With Ingenus Text Blaster you can very quickly produce
  18. high quality printouts of your text files.  It prints in any of sixteen
  19. predefined styles which range from 1 to 4 columns per page.  And, true to its
  20. name, it's fast!

  22. 2. INGENUS TEXT BLASTER COMPONENTS

  25. Ingenus Text Blaster 1.0 includes the following components:

  29. Text Blaster program         The Ultimate Text File Print Utility

  31. Text Blaster Setup program   Installs and removes all Ingenus Text Blaster
  32.                              components on your system.  This includes
  33.                              files, icons and groups in the Program
  34.                              Manager.
  35.  
  36. Text Blaster Auto-Exec Icon  Invokes Ingenus Text Blaster with command line
  37.                              parameters which cause it to automatically start,
  38.                              print the specified files, and then shut down.
  39.                              This is handy if you tend to print a certain 
  40.                              file name repeatedly.  The example prints the
  41.                              Ingenus Text Blaster ReadMe file.
  42.  
  43. Text Blaster Help System     Comprehensive onscreen help system.  Fully
  44.                              integrated with the Ingenus Text Blaster program.
  45.                              It can also be run standalone from the Program
  46.                              Manager.

  48. 3. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
  49. ----------------------------

  51. Installation is very easy.  Just follow these steps:
  52. 1. Start Windows.
  53. 2. Insert the installation diskette in drive A (or B).
  54. 3. From Program Manager, select the File menu and choose Run.
  55. 4. Type a:\setup and press ENTER.
  56. 5. Follow the instructions presented on-screen.
  57. 6. The setup program will take care of everything.

  59. 4. REMOVAL INSTRUCTIONS

  62. Removal of Ingenus Text Blaster from your system is also very easy.  Follow
  63. the same instructions as for installation above.  When the setup program
  64. gives you the choice of installing or removing Ingenus Text Blaster, choose
  65. Remove.

  67. Note: To date, no one has ever done this.

  69. 5. KNOWN PROBLEMS
  70. -----------------
  71. 1. The automatic changing of printer orientation (Tall or Wide) does not
  72.    work correctly on Windows NT.  This will be corrected in a future
  73.    version of Ingenus Text Blaster. 
  74. 2. Some users have reported getting sporadic 'Printer Error' messages when
  75.    trying to print text files.  These errors appear to be memory related and
  76.    can often be circumvented by restarting Ingenus Text Blaster.  This will
  77.    be corrected in a future version of Ingenus Text Blaster.
