  5. 1) WHAT IS SHAREWARE?
  6.  
  7.   Shareware is a marketing method of computer software in which
  8.   the user has a chance to try the software before buying it
  9.   (Try-Bofore-You-Buy). The user can freely copy the shareware
  10.   version of the program and install it on his/her computer.
  11.   After the evaluation period (typically about 4 weeks), if the
  12.   user decides that he/she likes the program and wants to use it,
  13.   he/she should register the program by sending the registration
  14.   fee to the program author.

  17. 2) WHAT HAPPENS AFTER I REGISTER?
  18.  
  19.   After you register PrimaSoft will send you a REGISTRATION CODE that you may
  20.   enter into the program. From this moment the Shareware Reminder screens
  21.   will not be displayed, the program is not time-limited, and you will be
  22.   entitled to unlimited number of FREE upgrades.
  23.   If you register on-line on the Internet (through our First Virtual
  24.   store) you will be able to download the registered version(s) of
  25.   the program(s) - in this case we will not send a letter by mail.

  28. 3) IF YOU DECIDE TO REGISTER ONE PROGRAM - SPECIAL OFFER?

  30.   If you decide to register for one program you can order any number

  43. 4) HOW CAN I REGISTER FOR MORE THAN 1 PROGRAM ON COMPUSERVE
  44.    (THROUGH SWREG) AND TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOUR SPECIAL OFFER?

  46.   Compuserve does not support discounted prices directly. There is a way
  47.   around this: just send us an e-mail message (our address is 74643,2635)
  48.   with a list of programs that you want to register for - we will tell you
  49.   how to do it (the procedure depends on the total price).

  52. 5) WHERE CAN I FIND THE SHAREWARE VERSIONS OF ALL YOUR PROGRAMS?

  54. - on COMPUSERVE the best place to look for our software is WinProd Forum,
  55.   and WinShare Forum; just GO WINPROD or GO WINSHARE and do a Search by
  56.   Contributor on 74643,2635;
  57.  
  58. - on AMERICA ONLINE, use the KEYWORD function (under GO TO menu item).
  59.   Enter the keyword "WINDOWS FORUM" or "WIN", which will take you to the main
  60.   menu of the Windows Forum. Click on the Software Libraries button on
  61.   that screen; on the next screen select the Software Search button. On the
  62.   resulting search form just type PRIMASOFT in the search box, press <ENTER>
  63.   and the file names will come up on a list.

  65. - on MICROSOFT NETWORK, after you log in onto Microsoft Network select
  66.   Edit/Go To/Other Location menu function. Then type in Primasoft and 
  67.   click on the OK button.

  69. - on the Internet you can find our programs on a number of "anonymous"
  70.   ftp sites e.g. oak.oakland.edu, ftp.cica.indiana.edu, garbo.uwasa.fi,
  71.   ftp.fv.com, etc. Look for the files that start with "am_" and have a
  72.   ".zip" ending.

  78. 6) CAN I SAFELY ENTER MY DATA INTO THE SHAREWARE VERSION(S) OF YOUR
  79.    PROGRAM(S)?

  81.   Yes, absolutely. To be on the safe side, however, you should backup your
  82.   data every once in a while. In most cases our data files have the name
  83.   DATA.DAT or at least DAT extension. In the case of Contact Book the data
  84.   file name is DATA.CNT. When you receive the registered version of the
  85.   program you can safely install it in the same directory as the shareware
  86.   version - in this case the shareware version of the program will be deleted
  87.   but the data file will be preserved. If you decide to install the registered
  88.   version into a different directory don't forget to copy the data file (if
  89.   you have already entered some data using the shareware version).

  92. 7) WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE SHAREWARE AND REGSITERED
  93.    VERSIONS OF YOUR SOFTWARE?

  95.   Assuming you have the latest shareware version of our software there
  96.   are no functional differences between the Shareware and Registered
  97.   versions. The Registered version will not display the Registration
  98.   Reminder screens and is not time-limited. Registered users are entitled
  99.   to unlimited number of free upgrades.

  102. 8) CAN I REGISTER USING MY CREDIT CARD?

  104.   We don't accept credit cards at the moment. However we are
  105.   working on it. In the near future you will be able to register
  106.   over the phone using your VISA or Master Card.

  109. 9) IS THERE A PRINTED MANUAL INCLUDED WITH YOUR REGISTERED VERSION?
  110.  
  111.   No, we don't include any printed documentation. You will only
  112.   receive a short letter with Installation instructions. If you have
  113.   problems using our software try reading help messages - just click
  114.   with the right mouse button on different parts of the program.
  115.   Once you learn how to use one of our programs you should have no
  116.   trouble using all our other programs.
