  6. This version of Space Watch pro is intended for 32-bit Windows operating
  7. systems - e.g. Windows 95 or NT.  If you wish to use Space Watch pro from
  8. Windows 3.xx please download Space Watch pro v2 (file Swatch2.zip).

  10. Requirements
  11. ============
  12.    Space Watch pro will work on any 32-bit Windows desktop and any Windows NT
  13.    or Netware network.  However, for full features in the Network edition you
  14.    require the following configurations:

  16.    For full features on a NETWARE network you need a Novell 32-bit client
  17.    installed on your desktop - e.g. Novell Client32.  NDS support is provided
  18.    (e.g. Netware 4.x).

  20.    For full features on a WINDOWS NT network you need a Windows NT desktop or
  21.    server.

  24. Installation and Registration instructions

  27. How to Install Space Watch Pro
  28. ------------------------------
  29.    Select Start -> Settings -> Control Panel.
  30.  
  31.    Double click the 'Add/Remove Programs' icon.
  32.  
  33.    Click on 'Install'.
  34.  
  35.    Click on 'Browse' and select the Space Watch pro directory.
  36.  
  37.    You will then be prompted for an installation directory.
  38.    Space Watch pro will then be installed into your system.
  39.  
  40.    Simply double-click on the Space Watch icon.  The program will take
  41.    a few seconds to create the necessary work file, and you will then
  42.    see a registration notification.  Click on the 'I Agree' check box and
  43.    then OK - you are set to go!
  44.  
  45.    Once you have started the program, select 'Quick Start' on the 'Help'
  46.    menu and follow the instructions, or simply use the QUICK START PANEL
  47.    displayed.

  49.    NOTE: Context sensitive help is available by pressing the F1 key. A 
  50.    User Guide is available from the HELP menu.  Alternatively try clicking
  51.    on the 'Tip' buttons that are displayed in most windows.  If you hold
  52.    the mouse over a toolbar button for a short while, help will pop-up 
  53.    displaying the function of that button.

  55. Uninstalling Space Watch pro
  56. ----------------------------
  57.    Windows 95
  58.    ----------
  59.    Use the 'Add/Remove Programs' icon on the 'Control Panel'.  Select
  60.    'Space Watch pro' from the list and then click on 'Add/Remove...'.
  61.    Follow the prompts to confirm that you wish to remove Space Watch pro
  62.    from your system.

  64.    Alternatively, you should find an Uninstall icon on the Space Watch pro
  65.    option on the Start menus.  Click on this and all registry settings and
  66.    files will be removed.

  68.    Windows NT
  69.    ----------
  70.    Follow the instructions for Windows 95.  If you do not have an
  71.    'Add/Remove Programs' icon in the control panel then
  72.    run the following program from the Space Watch pro installation
  73.    directory:

  75.           st4unst.exe -n"c:\----\st4unst.log" 
  76.  
  77.      Where 'c:\----\' should be changed to your application 
  78.      installation path.

  91.    To register the software, see 'REGISTER' on the 'Help' menu.  This will
  92.    provide details of how to register by credit card on-line, by 'phone FAX 
  93.    or e-mail or via Compuserve GO SWREG.  You can also print out a 
  94.    registration form and post it directly to us.

  96.    Registered users will receive:

  99.         - a full printed User Guide
  100.         - technical support (via e-mail)
  101.         - free use of new minor versions.

  117. Known problems/limitations
  118. --------------------------
  119.    The latest version of Space Watch pro, incorporating all known fixes
  120.    and enhancements, is available from our web site:

  124.    Office 97/NT 4
  125.         If you are operating Space Watch pro on Windows NT with Office 97
  126.         installed you may find some File finder icons will not display.
  127.         This is an ActiveX issue that we are working to resolve.

  129.    Windows NT
  130.         If you are using Windows NT to operate Space Watch pro the 'right
  131.         mouse button' popup menu on File finder will not be available,
  132.         Print preview is also unavailable on this platform.

  134.    Windows 95 and File/directory ownership
  135.         Windows 95 cannot access file/directory ownership information on
  136.         Windows NT NTFS volumes, either locally or remotely.  Windows 95
  137.         CAN access file/directory ownership information on Novell Netware
  138.         servers if you have a Novell 32-bit client installed (e.g.
  139.         Client32).

  141.    Viewing file contents
  142.         If you do not have the Quick View option installed in your Windows
  143.         then this option will not be available.  To add this option see
  144.         the 'Add/Remove Programs' icon in control panel and select Windows
  145.         options.
