  10. -------- What is BrowserSizer? ---------------------------------------

  12. BrowserSizer is a low-fat, NOT in-your-face tool to help web
  13. developers check to see how their web pages look on screen resolutions
  14. of 640x480, 800x600, 1024x768 and WebTV. It controls Internet Explorer
  15. or Netscape Navigator from an un-obtrusive, sit in your tray,
  16. application that provides a interface to resize either browser to the
  17. standard screen resolutions. Isn't it annoying to change your
  18. development machine's resolution just to test for people who haven't
  19. figured out that they can change THEIR screen resolution?
  20.  
  21. Major Features:
  22.  - Controls the window size of Internet Explorer (3,4) AND Netscape
  23.     Navigator (2,3,4).
  24.  - Provides accurate sizing of browser as would be when viewed
  25.     full-screen at selected resolutions.
  26.  - Provides options to account for size with Microsoft Win95/NT4
  27.     TaskBar and Microsoft Office Shortcut Bar.
  28.  - Provides the ability to control browsers while BrowserSizer is
  29.     minimized in the system tray.
  30.  - Quick hide/show to/from system tray on tray icon double-click.
  31.  - Remembers options, last window position, and selected browser
  32.     on exit.
  33.  - Runs under Microsoft Win95/98 & Microsoft NT4/5.

  116. -------- Know Issues & Possible Future Features ----------------------

  118. * Netscape Navigator is required to be running before attempting
  119.     window resize.
  120. * Re-sizing Netscape Navigator in quick succession can occasionally
  121.     cause BrowserSizer to crash..
  122. * Both browsers don't consistently pop to the front of the desktop
  123.     on resize attempt. (Mostly when BrowserSizer is hidden in
  124.     system tray.)
  125. * BrowserSizer does not attach to an open Internet Explorer window
  126.     on resize attempt.
  127. * Netscape Navigator's position can get 'confused' when attempting
  128.     a resize while two windows are open to the same web page or
  129.     with the same title.
  130. * Support for multiple versions of Netscape Navigator concurrently.
  131. * Online check for application updates.
  132. * User Options like:
  133.     - Save current window position permanently
  134.     - Select default browser on BrowserSizer tabs

  140. v1.03a  - Fixed a small bug introduced in v1.03. Distribution filename
  141.             stayed the same.

  143. v1.03   - Fixed (finally) the "intf != 0 failed" error that has been
  144.             plaguing some IE4 users.
  145.         - Replaced InstallShield as the installer software for
  146.             BrowserSizer.  The setups it created were too bloated.

  150. v1.02   - Fixed resizing browsers for WebTV mode when sizing from the
  151.             system tray.  Now it does not take into account 95/NT
  152.             TaskBar or Office Bar when calculating size as Web TV does
