  42.  
  43. Wintools features the following tools:
  44.  
  45. Clean Uninstaller - This tool is used for both correctly removing 
  46. software and for monitoring changes made to the hard drive, 
  47. MS Windows registry and system files during program installations.
  48.  
  49.  When you uninstall different software, temporary files and files 
  50. not deleted in the process of uninstallation often remain on the 
  51. hard disk. These files are no longer used, they take up disk space 
  52. and increase disk access times. With the help of the tool "Clean 
  53. Uninstaller" you can solve that problem. You can also control the 
  54. installation process of program, monitor installed files and changes 
  55. made to the Windows registry system files during installation.

  58. Scan Files - This tool is used for periodic cleaning of your hard 
  59. drive from dead references, junk and obsolete files produced by 
  60. different software. These files and references remain on the hard 
  61. disk and increase drive access time.
  62.  
  63.  When different programs are running, temporary files necessary for 
  64. the proper functioning those programs are created on hard disk. 
  65. Quite often these temporary files are not deleted. The temporary 
  66. files remain on hard disk, occupy the space and sometimes slowing 
  67. the work of your computer. The tool "Scan Files" is used for periodic 
  68. cleaning of the computer from temporary and unused files.

  71. Scan Registry - This tool is used for periodic cleaning of the 
  72. MS Windows registry from unused applications remained after 
  73. uninstallation and from invalid references which decrease system 
  74. speed and system loading time.

  76.  Many programs store information about themselves in the Windows 
  77. registry; these programs add new file extension associations and 
  78. install components of their own. Far too often, the unistallation 
  79. methods used by these programs fail to remove their information from 
  80. the registry adding unnecessary bloat. After several series of 
  81. installation/uninstallation, the Windows registry becomes bigger 
  82. and bigger; computer power declines and program access times increase. 
  83. The "Scan Registry" tool serves for periodic cleaning of the registry 
  84. and for correcting incorrect registry records.

  87. Start Up - This is a startup manager. This tool allows you to monitor, 
  88. add, remove, enable and/or disable individual startup items. You can 
  89. also adjust applications  initialized during the loading process of 
  90. the operating system.

  92.  Many programs "consider" themselves the most important programs in 
  93. a system: they place themselves in startup and in a System Tray of 
  94. a system. This leads to unreasonable using of system resources, of 
  95. random access memory; and finally, to reducing processor power. As 
  96. a rule, such programs write information about themselves not in the 
  97. Start section of the "Startup" menu, but in the Windows registry without 
  98. leaving the option to the user and complicating the process of checking 
  99. the autothread process. The "Start Up" tool monitors all records about 
  100. autothread and allows to delete/add and temporarily disable records.

  103. Tweak UI - This is a set of additional adjustments related to safety, 
  104. system capacity and user preferences and which are not included into 
  105. basic components of MS Windows.

  107.  Adjustments are divided into six groups:

  109. Global - adjustments which allow for changing system files and 
  110. registration information. 
  111. Desktop û a set of adjustments that can be made to the desktop. 
  112. System û system settings, ways of the loading of a system and devices. 
  113. StartMenu û a change of the interface of a Start menu. 
  114. Security û an adjustment of security of a system. 
  115. Ctrl Panel û a manager of the bars used for the administration of 
  116. a system.

  119. Net Tweaker - tool is used for speed increasing of data transfer by 
  120. changing hidden network settings. With equal speed connection on 
  121. different computers different speed of data transfer is possible. 
  122. The thing is TCP/IP is for transfer of packets of data. The packets 
  123. can be of different degree of compression, of different size, time of 
  124. life, can have different error repeatsà That is why under different 
  125. settings, equal speed of connection completely different speed of data 
  126. transfer is possible. Changing settings with the help of "Net Tweak" 
  127. tool you can get more stable work with bad connection(at the same time 
  128. you can lose some speed) or you can get higher speed of data transfer 
  129. with good connection at the expense of stability which will be 
  130. provided by good connection line anyway.

  133. The Privacy - This is a kit of tools which ensure your privacy and 
  134. keep sensitive information secure.

  136. While you are working on your computer the system monitors the so 
  137. called "history" and saves it. All information about your work in 
  138. the Internet - when and which sites you visited, of what content, 
  139. which programs downloaded, with which documents you worked, which 
  140. and whom you wrote, what you looked for, which folders you opened, 
  141. what computers you connected to - all that and a lot of other 
  142. information is left on your computer. Any person who has an access 
  143. to your PC can easily access this information and monitor practically 
  144. your every step. Besides he/she can collect compromising information 
  145. about you. In that situation confidentiality can not be guaranteed. 
  146. So much accessible information about you not only destroys your 
  147. privacy but also slows down your computer. All this information is 
  148. kept on your hard drive, in the system registry. Besides the history 
  149. of started programs, history of the search, history of last opened 
  150. documents is constantly loading by the system and "eats" RAM of 
  151. your computer. "The Privacy" tool will let you work on the computer 
  152. not leaving traces of your activities. It consists of three basic 
  153. parts: "Objects to Erase", "Invisible Man" and "File Shredder".
