  6. Please read this document carefully; it contains important
  7. information about Emergency Disks.

  11. Emergency disks allow you to start your computer in DOS. Use Emergency 
  12. Disks to solve problems before you install.
  13.  
  14. NOTE: It is always better to use Rescue Disks made on the problem 
  15. machine if you have them. Rescue Disks contain machine-specific 
  16. information and can solve problems easier than Emergency disks. 
  17.  
  18. Make Emergency Disks from the Support folder of the product CD. You
  19. will need several formatted 1.44 MB disks. You will need one disk for
  20. each .IMG file in this folder.

  25. To make Emergency Disks
  26. =======================
  27. CAUTION: Perform the following procedure on a different computer from 
  28. the one with the problem. Executing these steps might cause additional 
  29. problems.

  31. 1. Insert the product CD into the CD-ROM drive. 
  32. 2. Click Browse the CD.
  33. 3. Double-click the Support folder.
  34. 4. Double-click the Edisk folder.
  35. 5. Double-click Ned.exe
  36. 6. Follow the on-screen instructions.

  38. To use the Emergency Disks:
  39. ===========================
  40. 1. If your computer is running, click the Start button, select Shut 
  41.    Down, and then select the Shut Down option. When Windows has shut 
  42.    down, switch off your computer using the power switch.

  44. 2. Insert Emergency Disk 1 in your floppy drive, and then switch on 
  45.    your computer.
