- Cliff, The Violent Space Monkey is Freeware
- "Dedicated to Ham, the first chimp in space"
- ==============================================================================
- NOTE: This is a demo version, initially created for my employment purposes.
- Realistically, there will be no full version.
- (unless by a miracle of jebus, somebody wants to publish it).
-
- This readme file contains important information about this game.
- If you have any questions or are having problems, please read this
- first.

- Story Line
- =============================
-
- The year is 1956, you are a NASA test space monkey named 'Cliff', assigned
- to Project Mercury (codenamed MR2). In your last mission to space, you
- encountered an alien spacecraft which took you on board their ship.
- That's the last thing you can remember, .... until you woke up, and your
- module was re-entering the stratosphere.
-
- After returning from space, you have discovered a new found sense of
- super-intelligence, (well, for a monkey at least).
- The NASA scientists are keen to find out what has occurred and have already
- run many tests on you. All of this probing has given you flatulence beyond
- comprehension, and of course a violent nature. Not overly amused by your
- experiences, you have decided to take revenge. The scientists, fully
- aware of your close encounter, have decided to open up your skull and
- examine your brain.
-
-
- :Task:
- To avoid all of this unpleasant-ness, you must find a way to escape from
- the NASA laboratories, in order to begin your ulterior motive (to destroy
- all humankind). Use your wits (or violent means) and try to escape from
- the NASA laboratory.
-
- You can only hold 1 object at a time ........
- (don't worry, you can't get stuck - no dead ends)

- Setting Up Cliff
- =============================
-
- To setup cliff for an optimum frame-rate ....
-
- To optimize framerate:
- - First of all, and most importanty, you should have a 3d video card.
-
- There are 3 ways to optimize your framerate for this game:
- 1: Make sure you have your BEST 3d card selected in 'CliffSetup'.
- (default is primary card)
- 2: Downsizing your desktop screen area (desktop resolution) in
- Display Properties->Settings
- will change the screen resolution of the game.
- 3: Change the actual game window size in 'CliffSetup', default is normal,
- but you can also choose from medium and small.
