  1. Thank you for downloading the Spellforce 2 demo!

  3. If you are having difficulties running the demo, check that your system meets the minimum system requirements below and that your video card's chipset is supported.  Then try the following steps:

  5. 1.) Ensure that you are running the latest version of DirectX.
  6.  
  7. 2.) Update your graphics drivers to the latest version.
  8.  
  9. 3.) Have the latest firmware for your motherboard chipsets.
  10.  
  11. 4.) If you have an nVidia graphics card and are still having issues with the demo, you may need to get nVidia's official beta drivers.  You will need version 84.11 or later.  You may find them at

  15. 5.) To help get your demo working, Aspyr may provide limited technical support for the Spellforce 2 Demo.

  19. - 3D Hardware Accelerator Card Required - 100% DirectX 9.0 compatible 128 MB with latest drivers
  20. - English version of Microsoft Windows 2000/XP
  21. - Intel Pentium 4 1.6 GHz or AMD Sempron 2800+ or higher
  22. - 512 MB RAM (1024 MB Recommended)
  23. - DirectX 9.0 compatible sound card
  24. - Windows 2000/XP compatible mouse and keyboard with latest drivers
  25. - 8x speed CD-ROM drive or 4X DVD-ROM drive

  29. - Intel Pentium D 3.0 GHz or AMD Athlon 64 4000+ or higher

  34. - Internet(TCP/IP) or LAN(TCP/IP) play supported
  35. - Internet play requires broadband connection and latest drivers
  36. - LAN play requires network interface card with latest drivers

  38. This product does not support Windows 95/98/ME or NT.

  40. Notice: Some 3D accelerator cards with the chipset listed here may not be compatible with the 3D acceleration features utilized by Spellforce 2. Please refer to your hardware manufacturer for 100% DirectX compatibility.

  71. Some graphical issues have been known to occur if you do not restart the application after making changes in the Graphics Options.
