  20. PC with 300 MHz or faster Pentium, 32 MB of free RAM
  21. 35 MB free hard disk space
  22. 12x CD-ROM drive or faster
  23. 640x480 display, 16-bit (thousands of colors)

  27. 2.0 Installing Rhem_Demo
  28. Read the License Agreement! (8.0 License Agreement)
  29. Install Rhem_Demo only on the condition that you, the customer,
  30. accept the terms of the License Agreement.
  31. Make sure you have installed QuickTime 4 for Windows or higher (www.apple.com).
  32. Copy the folder Rhem_Demo (Drag and Drop) on to your hard drive.

  34. 3.0 Starting Rhem_Demo
  35. Make sure your monitor is set to thousands of colors(16-bit).
  36. Make sure your monitor is set to 640x480.
  37. Double-click the Rhem_Demo icon (Rhem.exe) in the RhemE folder 
  38. on your hard drive.

  40. 4.0 Removing Rhem_Demo
  41. Delete the Rhem_Demo folder from your hard drive,
  42. and then empty the trash.

  44. 5.0 Menus and Keys
  45. Open menu: Strg+M or Spacebar
  46. Close menu: Strg+W
  47. Save game: Strg+S
  48. Load game: Strg+O
  49. Quit game: Strg+Q
  50. game Info: Strg+I

  52. 6.0 Playing Rhem_Demo
  53. Explore the land of Rhem. The cursor will provide direct 
  54. feedback on where you can go and what you can do.
  55. Simply click the mouse to move or turn. If you want to examine, 
  56. use, or pick up an object, click on it, or click and drag it .
  57.  
  58. 7.0 Troubleshooting
  59. A) Make sure you have installed QuickTime 4 or higher /www.apple.com.
  60. B) RHEM is designed to use 32 MB of memory.
  61. C) Make sure your monitor is set to thousands of colors (16-bit).
  62. D) Make sure your monitor is set to 640x480.
  63. E) Check the volume level and the speaker and/or headphone connections.
  64. F) You can get to the menu bar by pressing Strg+M or Spacebar.
  65. G) Make sure your computer is equipped with the system requirementsneeded for RHEM. If necessary, you need to update the operating system
  66. or the hardware.
  67. H) If your monitor is set to a resolution of 604x480 but you have hooked up several monitors at the same time, it may happen that you 
  68. will be asked to change the resolution. In that case, start the game 
  69. by clicking "Start application with inappropriate monitor setup".

  71. 8.0 License Agreement
  72. This is a License Agreement between you, the end user, and Knut Mueller.
  73. The Product is owned by Knut Mueller. You must treat the Product like any other copyrighted
  74. material (e.g., a book) except that you may either (a) make one copy of the Product solely
  75. for backup or archival purposes, or (b) transfer the Product to a single hard disk provided
  76. you keep the original solely for backup or archival purposes. You may not loan, sell, rent,
  77. lease, give, sublicense, or otherwise transfer the Product (or any copy).
  78. Notwithstanding the foregoing, in one case you may transfer your rights under this License
  79. Agreement on a permanent basis provided you transfer this License Agreement, the Product,
  80. and all accompanying written materials, retain no copies, and the recipient agrees to the
  81. terms of this Agreement. You may not modify, adapt, translate, create derivative works,
  82. decompile, disassemble, or otherwise reverse engineer or attempt to reverse engineer or
  83. derive source code from all or any portion of the Product or anything incorporated therein,
  84. or permit or encourage any third party to do so. The information provided in this Read Me is
  85. provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. With respect to this CD-ROM product, Knut
  86. Mueller disclaims all warranties, either expressed or implied, including the warranties of
  87. merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
  88. In no event shall Knut Mueller be liable for any damages whatsoever,  including direct,
  89. indirect, incidental, consequential, loss of business profits or special damages, even i
