* Credits *
Many thanks to Autolycus at the Half-Life editing Resource Centre for his tutorials and
for answering my E-mails so quickly. Also to the authors of the may other excelent sites
dedicated to making map building available to newbies.
Thanks must also go to the people who helped my by testing this map from the early
stages. Many excelent comments were made and their interrest helped me to finish it.
* Prefabs *
I used a few of the prefabs I found on the net and a few of my own.
I can't remember where I got most of them so I can't thank individuals - I had a big
download spree and just got loads. So if you see yours in this game then thank you
and I hope you like how I used it.

* Story *
On your return from Xen you find that the disaster is still being hushed by the
Government. The world knows something is wrong but so far only a few sightings
of the strange creatures has been reported. When Xen was discovered the Government
assured the world that the creatures did not have the technology to reach earth.
Of course the world didn't know that we'd built a teleport system which was now jammed
open allowing them free access to our planet. When you were working at Black Messa
you had overheard converstations about a 'star wars' satellite system designed
to protect the earth from ET invasion. You also know that each HEV suit was fitted with
a security override feature which would allow operation of the satellite defences. The only
way to close the teleporter would be to find a suit and locate the satellite arming system in
order to destroy the entire island where Black Messa was located...
* Comments *
Two Smoking Barrels is my first attempt at map design. I've tried to keep the detail down
so that a 300mhz machine with Voodoo 2 or equivalent can run it without problems.
There are a couple of places which may slow a little due to high r_speeds and a
large amount of AI.
If you have any comments, good or bad, then please E-mail them to the address at
the top of this .txt file.
=======================================================
* Installation *
1. Extract the 5 .bsp files to your Half-Life\valve\maps folder
2. Extract the remaining .nod files to your Half-Life\valve\map\graphs folder *
* The .nod files basically contain the AI node information. The game will run if you don't
copy these files but it will take a little while to rebuild this information when each map
loads.
* Uninstalling *
Just delete all the files unpacked from the .zip file.
* Playing the game *
command line: (Assuming HL is installed in C:\Half-Life)
C:\Half-Life\hl.exe -console +map tsm1
If C:\Half-Life\ is not the path to your hl.exe file you will have to modify this example.
If you don't want to make a new shortcut then you can load Two Smoking Barrels
from the Half-Life console. The console is not available by default. To access the
console please make sure that the switch '-console' exists in your shortcut (as in the
example above). When you access the console type 'map tsm1' in order to start
the game.
