Title : Circular Death
Filename : cir.bsp
Authors : Lee "eepers" Perry
Email Address : lee@ionstorm.com
Description : Deathmatch level for Quake 2.
Additional thanks to : id Software, and whoever did the original
version of a map named "circular death"
as a multi-player map for the original
Marathon game that was the inspiration for this,
Cleaner, Rich 'Zdim' Carlson,
Seneca 'Indigo' Menard, and Tom 'The Man' Hall
for playtesting, ideas, and tech support
================================================================
---------------Play Information----------
Level Name : Circular Death
Single : Absolutely worthless
Quake2 DM 2-8 players : A blast for any number, best with 6 to 8...
Comments : This is the fist Quake or Q2 map I've ever done,
and it's built (like all I plan to do) for
playability and hopefully inspiring people to
try creating levels with a different mindset
than cloning id levels...
---------------Construction---------------
Base : built from scratch
Build Time : 6 hours.
------------------------------------------
Editor(s) used : BSP, QE4, Worldcraft.
Known Bugs : One light in a pit area won't seem to function, kinda handy though,
as it denotes one of the teleporters to the upper platform. I hate
the sky and considered building a night sky, but didn't want to
complicate shit...
---------------Legal Stuff----------------
You may NOT include this map in ANY sort of compilation,
or sell it in ANY way, shape or form. Contact me to arrange something
to the contrary.
**** Where to get this BSP ****
ftp://ftp.cdrom.com/pub/idgames2/quake2/levels/deathmatch/
----INSTALLATION----
Copy the .bsp into a subdirectory of baseq2 called maps,
(ie c:\quake2\baseq2\maps)
Then run quake2.
Go into the console by pressing the key left of the 1 key (~), and type in
"map cir".
--------------------
PLAY NOTES: Use the ribbon elements as ladders... be very cautius about
about the platform...
Please email me with any suggestions for playability or any other comments.
