  21.      (TUCSON, Ariz.--September 30, 1991)-- Artisoft announced

  23. today that it has begun shipping its new LANtastic for
  24.  
  25. Windows network utility which allows the LANtastic network to
  26.  
  27. be run totally from within Microsoft(R) Windows(TM) 3.0.
  28.  
  29. Priced at $299 per network, it requires LANtastic(R) NOS 4.0
  30.  
  31. or higher(sold separately) to operate.

  33.      "LANtastic(R) for Windows(TM) was designed for those
  34.  
  35. LANtastic users who prefer the Windows interface and
  36.  
  37. operating environment," said Jack Schoof, Artisoft President

  41.      The LANtastic(R) for Windows(TM) network utility offers
  42.  
  43. the same features as the DOS-versions NET and NET_MGR
  44.  
  45. programs, but within the easy, graphical user interface of
  46.  
  47. Microsoft Windows' pull-down menus, icons and on-line help.

  49. It also supports Dynamic Data Exchange(DDE) so that Windows
  50.  
  51. applications can use LANtastic e-mail to exchange messages
  52.  
  53. and transfer data.  For Example, with DDE, a user can create
  54.  
  55. an Excel spreadsheet and send it ot a remote user who will
  56.  
  57. then be able to double-click on the file to open it in the
  58.  
  59. application in which it was originally created.
